Look at this nice ( haha ) Compaq notebook ( Armada 1700 ). My friend bought it that she could broadcast live shows. There're one USB port and one RJ45 for LAN cable - good! But if you plug in LAN cable - you can NOT plug in anything on USB port. Great engineering!!! She can't use USB web cam Another creat piece of engineering was some two years old Toshiba notebook. There was two PCMCIA slots, but only the upper one was actual PCMCIA.... another was just an empty slot without any ejection button. It was quite easy to accidentally put modem / net card on the wrong slot... If you wanted it out - you needed to open the whole fucked notebook - which was not intended to be opened ( with reference to tens of small screws and plastic clips ) More nice engineering! However I have been quite happy with IBM think pads. |

Compaq beats any other company with enginering...they also have 1U high servers....which is cool so you can stick 42 servers
in a rack....saves a lot space. Of course it takes some adjustements to cool the machine....ibm and others have horizontal cooling with 6 fans..... Compaq has vertical cooling. Which is useless is you put 42 servers in a rack So idiots who boughtthose quickly found out that 20 compaqs is the limit in a rack. No matter if they had active airco cooling inside the rack. woehahaha another classic example of compaq! DynaMite
