A pretty cool obelisk if you like those type of things.
Lau Pa Sat is cool if you like old buildings made of filigre cast iron.
Also can enjoy some dining way the fuck up like 70 stories or so for a great view.

General Asia Tip #1: For some reason, even the smallest collection of shops will be called a "mall" or "shopping center" giving the false impression that there might be something interesting to see inside them. There probably isn't.

You could have 3 boring shops together in a building and it will be called "The Super Happy Lucky Mall Shopping Center!"

So if you see something that says "Shopping Mall" there's an 80% chance it's a waste of time, unless you enjoy seeing a dry cleaners, shoe repair, and a mobile phone accessories shop.

Singapore Tip #3: The Little India area is interesting for about 10 minutes, then you will probably begin choking on the over abundance of incense and will get annoyed by all the shopkeepers trying to get you to buy some crap you don't need or want.

Not a big sex industry but they do have a red light area. Too expensive though. Singaporean men usually go to the Indonesian Island Batam (about half an hour by speedboat) - much cheaper there...

Some good nighlife in Singapore in terms of pubs and discotheques, and lots of great food. Plenty to do for two days. The zoo is quite famous but make sure they let you out again...

go to "Sim Lim Square" lots of camera's and computer stuff
accross the street you'll find "Sim Lim Tower" where you can find very cheap electronic parts and stuff like that

"Bugis" is nice as well, on the market you can find all kind of fake shit

"SunTec City" is a huge mall and I mean HUGE

On "Orchard Road" you can buy the expensive goods for your wife

Have a pleasant stay!

it is the asian version of orange county, only cleaner, with less crime, and one of the most conservative places in the world.

and if you observe closely you will see why unbridled capitalism and the work ethic of (some) asian cultures will rule earth's economy within 10 years.
