toast and peanut butter is a favorite to drop on my keyboard, infact i think there are more crumbs in the keys than in the toaster

I managed to pour a bottle of Lucozade into my keyboard last week, but surprisingly it survived. The tab key was a bit clunky for a while, but s'all OK now.
