I think the statement san fran is trying to make is an important one. Our recruiting system sucks, they target the poorer communities and easily impressionable. He and Fox News are a perfect fit. They use the same strategy--identify a common moral denominator and exploit it. It's less an issue of ideology than of finding a way to spin news and commentary as to make it dramatic and highly appealing to the cable tv market. Tabloid TV meets punditry = O'Reilly.
