Great thread, the results are and will be very interresting. APC is a great program, and Hun traffic is usually decent, so hopefully the results prove both to be right. :thumbsup

Hmmm looks like I used the wrong linkingcode. I will tell cybercat and they will consult with the hun what to do. Changing a link without consulting might also get me into trouble. Thanks for the info.

When you pay for a listing The Hun lets you bend the rules a bit. You can post in their forum BTW. Michel (Review) usually responds rather fast.

On a separate note, I just got a surprise $60 dollar check (for three sales) in the mail last week from Platinum Bucks. And I haven't pushed them since June. It was from a Hun listing back in May. lol. I think I originally made about 8 sales with that Hun listing. So even months later you still make sales with them. Amazing.

that's approx 75gig *Cheap hosting $1/gig =$75

since a sell is at most $50, how is this affordable?

Thanks for sharing this info

LOL man, cheap hosting at $1 per gig :1orglaugh make that $0,10 per gig. and also who converts 1:9800 ??

the only stats that would interest me is traffic received per spot before hitting the archive. Sales and clicks to sponsor are variables and have little to no value.

MarkMan 11-12-2005 08:10 AM

lol, i guess i am still in the old days

well it used to be $8 a gig back in the day .. then it went down to $4/gig .. and i assumed the cheap price now is $1/gig but conversion was 1:248 and click thoughts were 10% . . that's based on AVS traffic.

so if you people don't mind .. what is the gallery views to sponsor click ratio today on TGP traffic .

the conversion ratio I can learn from this Thread. ( right now 1:3256)

man I wasn't around for to long :(

I have had lots of free Hun listings back in the days when we used to blitz it with Terra and Starmedia hosted galleries. When this was banned I continued with hosts like Smutserver and Kinghost for quite some time.

Thinking back, results were never consistent. One day a listing of similar galleries would bring 10 sign ups and the next only 2.
If listing and bandwidth costs were included back then, I would have needed to calculate the revshare returns over quite a long period to be sure my investment would return profit at some point.
There are many long term spin offs from a Hun listing, something that should be taken into consideration when working out the cost and strategy.

Long gone are the days where you could use all your dropped out listings to feed a CJ network :)

He should be shot for starting this thread, setting up unnecessary competition for guys like me, what an idiot.

but then again this threads real purpose is to tell APC not to shave him in case they do.

I need some more sales to cover the spot, hosting and labor. It will remain on the first page for two more days though and then go to the archives and the searchengines.

How much has it cost you so far to make $180?

that's just the bandwidth bill :winkwink:

georgeyw 11-13-2005 08:08 AM

when you're outlaying 200 for the lising - I think you'r'e too far in the red to make it worthwhile. I'd rather spend that 2k on building a nice site of my own - buy some feeder traffic - and get it going...

still interesting thread and hope you make your money back and then some.

HAHA seriously ok $200 a spot, how many spots so far used?

Posting stats without knowing what's spent ain't to good for us.

Platinum Dave 11-13-2005 08:13 AM

Alternative to buying TGP listings you can buy PPC listings

at Sex Find - http://www.sexfind.com

owned and operated by Platinum Bucks

200$ a spot (this is the first one), plus hosting plus labor.
The last two variabales are hard to calculate.
I have $300 in my mind as a break even point. Currently made : $210.
So it can still go anywhere.

and where exactly does sexfind gets its traffic from?
doesn't it get that traffic from tgp's?
so we basically pay PPC for tgp traffic?

Actually I am not an affiliate manager, I am the owner at Platinum Bucks.

My apologies for hoping in a thread half way through, I was hoping a post would update me instead of spending time reading the entire thread.

---

Sex Find traffic comes from PB exits + other small search engines mainstream and adult across the internet.

We have 300 active accounts currently, pretty much all the largest affiliate programs are buying the traffic. Check it out, 5 cents minimum bid, $50 minimum deposit. Can't go wrong!

any problems email me [email protected], I can assign an exclusive account manager to you.

Have a nice weekend everyone

Thanks for the update, I'd say your doing pretty good then.

Walrus mentioned after it goes into the archives you can get another 3-4 signups 6 months after your original spot.

$100 in hosting and labour ontop of the $200 listing price sounds a bit high, your almost break even already with potential for signups to come in 6 months down the road.

5 cents min bid haha i will try google :1orglaugh
btw why does your CONSOLE FREE links get rejected by worldsex? (Reject reason - popups on sponsor)
are you putting popups on CF links too?

Platinum Dave 11-13-2005 09:39 AM

I'm going to find out, probably because they think your gallery is still a popup gallery.

I'll contact World Sex Monday morning.

As for 5 cents minimum bid at google, I don't think you can buy traffic that low anymore at Google. I'm hearing 20 cent minimum bids for many keywords.

Thanks for pointing out the world sex issue, having someone look into that right away.

Cheers

ok great look into it, lot of my gals were rejcted because of that reason and that means waste of my money. i stopped promoting you guys because of that. told paul abt it and he said he will talk to worldsex and nothing happened and more gals were rejected

MarkMan 11-13-2005 10:21 AM

I think its a mistake to start bids at 5cent.. its better to let the market decide the value of the traffic.

Overture made a huge mistake implementing the 5.. then 10 cent min bids.. and a lot of other small PPCs are doing the same.

its smarter, to let the market decide.. and always let people know about the low bid points.

if your traffic is worth it.. it would not be sold at 5cent a click it would be the market that decides and its probably would be worth 50cent .. maybe $1 a click.. all depended on conversion and nationality of the traffic.

P.S
-------------
its true you wouldn't find much with Google with 5 cent a click.. but google no longer has a minimum bid.. its the market that makes it imposable to get any traffic at such low bids

I emailed worldsex about this and am still waiting forthem to get back to me, I know that all of our galleries do not use popups and they also do not have any java in them.
So there should be no problem sending them to worldsex..
If you would like hit me up on ICQ I should get something back from them about this very soon.
