Midnight Digital not paying its photographers...
I have been trying to contact Midnight Digital for months now about my payments - Midnight Digital is a content broker - and haven't been able to make contact.
The site is midnightdigital.com. I'm a photographer and while he only owes me a few hundred dollars, hey, I'd really like to have that as I've earned it. I'm also not the only photographer he hasn't paid in many months. At the very least I'd like my sets to be taken down from his site. Does anyone know if they're alive, around, or how to reach them? I still make a few sales here and there so I know the site is functioning and sales are being processed... Many thanks in advance, Katja Minx |

speaks to the softness of the content market.
took a look at that content vendor's site. i couldn't get my surfers to look at those cookie cutter images for free, let alone pay for them. these days shooters must do something different, have some imagination, and think outside the box. takes a lot more than just getting people naked, buying a digicam at bestbuy, and saying you are a photographer. surfers have seen every single motel 8 depiction of sexuality now, shot with a mid focal length zoom and basic light setup---they've seen it 1000 times, and they don't even click on it anymore. surfers are bored to tears with it. think outside the box. look at advertising in high fashion magazines to get shooting ideas---and if you JUST DO THAT and apply it to your work you MIGHT be able to command the surfers attention. |
