Both were great. But missing the "epicness" if you ask me.
Very few reach their potential.

Isnt Troy more like a legend than "actual history"???

anyway...I saw Alexandre not too long ago, thought it wasn't bad...(yeah yeah I know a lot of homo scenes and blah blah..but I don't really care, I can live with that)...overall, not bad...

don't watch Alexander, it is pure crap, not because of any gay scenes, but just due to horrible acting.

Also check out John Boorman's Excalibur (1981) - if you ain't seen it yet, its one of the better medieval period flicks.

(look for Patrick 'Capt Picard' Stewart in a bit role, heh)

Troy was based on the Iliad, and most certainly is not actual history. Unless you believe the Greek gods in the past actually interfered in wars.

Alexander was pure shite. Fruit flavored shite.

Troy was good, if only for the scene where Brad Pitt was going up the steps anihillating the army.

Kingdom of heaven was really good from a historical standpoint. The special features on the DVD make it the best rental of the three.

Watch BoB (band of brothers) marathon style (all 10 episodes right after each other). They are an hour long each, so it takes about 12 hours (including bathroom and food breaks).

It'll change you for sure, it is quite an experience

The movie Troy didn't even follow the legend. They took a brief synopsis of the legend/history and totally changed it. Read up on it, its pretty funny how the movie is so different. Either way, I really do love the movie and care very little about the legend.

There were no Gods or supernatural beings in the movie Troy. Achilles Odysseus and Hector were only men.

In Legend she was. But as you can see by the old lady that was standing there she was just a mortal woman.
