The new NHL ... awesome improvement in offensive gameplay

The players are slowly catching up on the new rules ... another 2 months and the gameplay will be perfectly adapted ...

Tons of offensive plays ... I'm watching the Canadians Vs Senators game right now and it's just awesome. 2 of the fastest NHL teams playing agaisn't each other ... back to back to back ;)

Heh ... good luck ... they are loosing If they win, the 6.5 goal part will be done no problems since they need 2 more to win.

i can't believe how much better the hockey is now - idiots should have done this 10 years ago. i couldnt watch hockey - think i watched 2 games season before last - now i am watching again.

the only people whining about the new hockey are dinosaurs and those who dont have the skills to play the game the right way.

With tonite's points, he ranks 4th in the nhl for total points ... 1 point away from the 3 leaders. Not too bad for a 18 years old rookie

yep - there is a generation of small skilled players who never had a shot at the NHL or even junior hockey because by the time they reached midget hockey they were already being forced out by big unskilled power forwards.

it's up to the NHL to make sure these rules keep being applied - because it could easily slip back into the crap it was before. coaches are whining, players are bitching - but the fans who pay their fat checks are loving it and that's what counts.

The channel made a pool about the way refferes apply rules ... 90 % of the people said it was perfect that way, and 10 % bitched. Pretty much sums it up

That was one of the most amazing goals I've seen all year... I get to see a bunch of nice goals being in DC and getting to watch Alex Ovechkin's games... he's amazing.

The Ducks seem to be dominant in 5-on-5 hockey

Now if they can only get their special teams rolling...and Fedorov playing.....wooooo

I love hockey and it seems that these new rules have really sped up the game. Seems like there used to be so many stoppages for two line passes and icing and stuff that just stalls the game. I'm love'n this new way.

The new rules kick ass.. The game is at a much better pace now and the action is more non-stop... The older guys do not know how to deal with it esp after taking a year off then coming back to a game that WAY faster then they knew for the last 10 yrs..

Me too, I love watching those exciting fights between the players. The rules are now too tight and games are really exciting.

these penalties are a fucking joke.. the game has become more of a newbie fan thing and a money maker than a rough sport like it used to be..

I'm all for the removal of the center line, the goalies pads being smaller and the bigger zones.

But the shootouts and the penalties are fucking pathetic!
