The new NHL ... awesome improvement in offensive gameplay

The players are slowly catching up on the new rules ... another 2 months and the gameplay will be perfectly adapted ...

Tons of offensive plays ... I'm watching the Canadians Vs Senators game right now and it's just awesome. 2 of the fastest NHL teams playing agaisn't each other ... back to back to back ;)

Pipecrew 10-27-2005 06:11 PM

i just need ottawa to win tonight and do it over 6.5 goals and i will be a very happy camper.

Doctor Dre 10-27-2005 06:17 PM

Heh ... good luck ... they are loosing :( If they win, the 6.5 goal part will be done no problems since they need 2 more to win.

Pipecrew 10-27-2005 06:31 PM

they will win, but i'am getting fucked cause Phili is losing now and i need them to win.

Doctor Dre 10-27-2005 06:57 PM

Philli just won didn't they ?

Theo owe you money ... he just stole the fucking game ... incredible

Doctor Dre 10-27-2005 07:06 PM

You got it ... What a fucking game ... Spetza just made up for Theo's big save ...

This was seriously one of the best game I've ever seen ... since Brodeur won the Stanly Cup agaisn't the wings

Pipecrew 10-27-2005 07:07 PM

thank god for spezza, all 8 games i bet on, won.. Shit Yeah, I can stop sweating now.

swoop 10-27-2005 07:10 PM

Flyers came back, Forsberg missed a penalty shot. Hell of a game

SilverTab 10-27-2005 07:12 PM

Let's all thank Zednick for 2 nice pass on 4 of Ottawa's goal...

I liked hime better when he was injured...

Mutt 10-27-2005 07:14 PM

i can't believe how much better the hockey is now - idiots should have done this 10 years ago. i couldnt watch hockey - think i watched 2 games season before last - now i am watching again.

the only people whining about the new hockey are dinosaurs and those who dont have the skills to play the game the right way.

They are the team with the big players ... things will change ... small players will do better ;)

Mr Crosby got a bright future in the leage ;)

Doctor Dre 10-27-2005 07:17 PM

With tonite's points, he ranks 4th in the nhl for total points ... 1 point away from the 3 leaders. Not too bad for a 18 years old rookie

yep - there is a generation of small skilled players who never had a shot at the NHL or even junior hockey because by the time they reached midget hockey they were already being forced out by big unskilled power forwards.

it's up to the NHL to make sure these rules keep being applied - because it could easily slip back into the crap it was before. coaches are whining, players are bitching - but the fans who pay their fat checks are loving it and that's what counts.

Pipecrew 10-27-2005 07:21 PM

Spezza was a complete bumbling idiot all game, but redeemed himself with the game winning goal..

NHL center ice package was my best investment haha

SilverTab 10-27-2005 07:24 PM

damn it..I keep seeing the replay over and over....fucking nice goal from Spezza...as much as I hate to admit it ....

nastyboy1 10-27-2005 07:27 PM

My blood runs red with Detroit!

The channel made a pool about the way refferes apply rules ... 90 % of the people said it was perfect that way, and 10 % bitched. Pretty much sums it up

That was one of the most amazing goals I've seen all year... I get to see a bunch of nice goals being in DC and getting to watch Alex Ovechkin's games... he's amazing.

Glad to hear that they have been improving. Good luck!

Varius 10-28-2005 12:55 AM

The Ducks seem to be dominant in 5-on-5 hockey :pimp

Now if they can only get their special teams rolling...and Fedorov playing.....wooooo

flashfire 10-28-2005 01:00 AM

wings are 10-1, so far you cant really say their old and slow

Dagwolf 10-28-2005 01:05 AM

I love hockey and it seems that these new rules have really sped up the game. Seems like there used to be so many stoppages for two line passes and icing and stuff that just stalls the game. I'm love'n this new way.

The new rules kick ass.. The game is at a much better pace now and the action is more non-stop... The older guys do not know how to deal with it esp after taking a year off then coming back to a game that WAY faster then they knew for the last 10 yrs..

Me too, I love watching those exciting fights between the players. The rules are now too tight and games are really exciting. :thumbsup

JuiceMonkey 10-28-2005 03:21 AM

these penalties are a fucking joke.. the game has become more of a newbie fan thing and a money maker than a rough sport like it used to be..

I'm all for the removal of the center line, the goalies pads being smaller and the bigger zones.

But the shootouts and the penalties are fucking pathetic!

huh? You are kidding right???

Newbie fan thing?? No way! The quality of the hockey played is actually much better now! Any real hockey fan is happy with these new rules! And I'm definitly no "newbie fan" LOL
