Just to let you know, this isn't mainstream.

In the mainstream world 35% would be extremely generous. But like everyone has been telling you, the industry standard is 50/50. Good luck. :2 cents:

With NO affiliates sending you referrals...you're going to be getting 100% of almost nothing...which is pretty much nothing....

With a ton of affiliates, even getting 50% - you're going to get 50% of some major bucks...

Instead of jumping into a new business with no common sense or business plan, shoot yourself.

Rarely will you get someone on this board to tell you in a nice way.

35% is a bit low. But some will still promote you, as you have some exclusive stuff.

I have to agree that most dont look like teens, so you may want to get a new domain name.

As for the design. It leaves a lot to be desired, but you can improve it over time. Just dont expect a ton of signups on what you have now. Add some color, and make the images a bit smaller.

Also try not to use screen caps in a tour, unless it is for a video.


Also paying 50% is not that hard. We pay 75% and stil do fine. It is 20$ per sign, and 20per rebill. We get 4.99 from the initial. And when you have 100 sigups in a week that adds up fast. We dont always do 100 signs a week, but you get the idea.

OK - I was just making a sandwich and I started thinking about your situation for some reason.

It seems the only thing you have to offer at the moment is your content. Sell it.... and insist that its NOT to be used for promotion. Its for members area only. That way only you can promote with it and it stays reasonably fresh.

Use the money to get a designer etc or even barter and swap content for work.

Also sign for some affiliate programs and try to work out what they are doing.

You have survived your first 10 hours on GFY, and trust me after an introduction like yours thats got to be admired.

And get a different processor
