Good design, I just dont like Average Tours, by saying that I mean every site on the internet is exactly like that, nothing drives me more crazy..

The exploited teens site I believe will convert far better than the other one. For many reasons, but mainly because we are already OVER saturated with teen tours just like the first one. This is obvious.

Yes... easy to say. But, as a designer, let me explain to you that when someone hires me (or any designer for that matter) to put together a tour for them, 99% of the time they send along 3 or 4 urls to sites that look just like that first one and say, "I want one just like that".

Now... what do you think I, as a designer, am going to do? Tell him no?

I agree with you totally, I guess i just assumed most people who ran paysites created there own tours or had more of an idea of what they wanted or even whats going on, but I guess not and that surprises me.... I am not saying these unoriginal tours look bad, they just dont realize if they made something different it would be a more fresh look and probably convert better

Most people see sponsors like CEN, Silvercash, etc... and dollar signs start flashing in their eyes. The quickest path to those dollars in most peoples heads is to reproduce the success they see in front of them. That means, "I gotta have a site just like that and then I'll have it made"... well,... sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.... it really depends on how well you market it. Anything can convert if you know how to market it right.

A paysite owner needs to have a little creativity on their part in determining their strategy and marketing techniques and their overall plan of attack. If that means breaking away from the standard tour layout or whatever.

A designer is hired to make those ideas a reality. Yes, sometimes people just throw a project completely in the designers hands and say, "Make it work"... but most times, they want control over the project because they have specific ideas about where they want it to go. The tour designer is merely the facilitator of the plans the paysite has layed out for himself. If the plans are flawed, the greatest tour design in the world will still not make money for him.

So, I wanted to say these things because everytime I see a tour get bashed as being "The same ol' thing"... it saddens me. There isn;t a damn thing wrong with that first tour listed in this thread... the design was executed very well. But what the owner does with it after the design is delivered will be the measure of it's success. Don't come down on whoever designed it... it's not his fault if it flops.... poor strategy is the owners blame alone.

I know exactly what you are saying dont get me wrong, Designers are paid to do what owners tell them... I just wish the owners knew more about the business and not just viewed it as some sort of cash cow

That's the sad truth of our biz though.... and why there is so much turnover. They come.... they go.... very few actually make it because they have no business skill whatsoever. Anyone can have a paysite.... all it takes is money... no different than leasing a storefront to sell sub sandwiches out of.... but if you're a lousy businessman, you probly won't last a year.

The tour looks great but personally I am not a big fan of graphical tours. The never have converted well for me when I used them on my own paysite or thru sites I promote via referral programs.

I posted another topic on the board about my new two-page tour and how well it has been converting. I think alot of it has to do with the fact that porn is an impulse buy. Throw your sales pitch in the face of the surfer and have them make a buying decision.

I agree that this type of tour is tired and that sites that are breaking the mold like "exploited teens" certainly would be more likely to get me to whip out my wallet.

But on a "teen" site tour, the truly important thing is selection of the models. Do they look young? Like real (legal) teens? The answer on this site is a resounding yes so I'm sure it will do pretty well

The tour does contain a, shall we say, distortion, regarding Bubble Girls: "10 new girls added monthly." I count more like four or five. Bubble Girls content is outstanding, but I was just looking at Bubble Girls this evening, and it's nothing like 10 girls per month.

One key to retention is delivering on your tour promises, and this one will be hard to deliver on. I hope the rest of your claims are more accurate.

I also see "18 years old girls from Moscow!" Unless this is a conscious attempt at bad grammar in order to simulate a Russian attempting to speak English, the "s" on the end of "years" doesn't belong there.

Several people have mentioned how like this looks to other teen site tours. ATKingdom has a unique tour and is probably the top teen site out there. Karups Private Collection is also quite successful with hardly any tour at all! Another pretty successful teen site is Teen Flood, with a tour that most designers would regard as fairly amateurish from a graphical standpoint.

The lesson is that a site with a different approach stands out from the crowd. Another lesson was pointed out by someone else: people join a teen site for the girls, not the graphics.

Good stuff Unseen... but here's another curve in the road to financial freedom through porn:

As new people come into the industry, generally not knowing which end is up, and asking a billion questions about everything... most are not brave enough to enter into the paysite ownership realm for a long time. But of the ones who are, what percentage of those will also possess the courage it takes to try something untested and unproven, thus assuming yet even more risk to an already uncertain future?

This, I believe, is the main reason people just look around until they find something that is pleasing to THEIR eye.... and base their design decisions on that. It's working for someone else, so it's gotta work for me theory.

Unfortunately, we know what this leads to. Over saturation of a particular style of tour. And when the styling no longer pulls the customer, we then resort to other means... such as delving into other niches to help the over saturation in those areas as well.... or using bandaids like popup hells and dialers to stabilize the bottom line.

As a content provider, you understand that the more people that buy your content, the more saturated it becomes... soon that content will be worthless, and the generation of NEW content must follow in order to move on.

As a designer, I am in the same boat. Lots of people want tours that look just like that. I am going to provide them for as long as they keep paying for them. Just as you will keep selling your content to anyone who is willing to buy.

Content providers & designers have a unique position in the industry, as we essentially create the very face of what the world sees. But I tend to think that it will fall into a more patterned wave of trendiness very soon... one style will be the rage for a while, until it over saturates and becomes obtuse. (like the teen niche right now)... and something else will take it's place.... and so on.... this type of event usually happens when a photog or designer happens to have some extra time and initiative available, and does something radical which is later exploited. It's all good.... that's how these things work.

Anyway, I've completely forgotten where I was going with this so I'll just shut up now and leave it on a good note.

Looks good, the only thing is how fast dooes it download on a 56k modem and do you need all those small pics.

If you lost a couple it would not harm the design but could speed up the download time.
