360 Modena Spyder or Lamborghini Gallardo
Ok here is the deal, for as long as I can remember I always wanted a Ferrari. The new F430 is about impossible to get, and $100k over sticker. Should I get the Ferrari? Or I have really been like the Gallardo... I can't make up my mind and my 30th birthday is coming and I need a new ride.

 | As far as RC cars go, either is nice, but you are limited where you can drive them. I would go with a monster truck.

 | Don't get me wrong, both are great cars and if you can afford either and value their design and performance great. For me I think prestige is as important as performance. Ferrari has decades of racing heritage and their cars recieve their design and engineering cues and innovations from race technology. The Lamborghini is well expensive, and stylish. With German cars you're either a Benz guy or a BMW guy. I'm a Benz driver because I like the cars better for many reasons including a heritage of quality that goes back over 100 years. Allan you'll be happy either way and I want a ride. |

 | Once you drive the 360 Modena, you will love it. It's so fun to drive. Way funner to drive then my Lambo. Gallardo is nice, but I always look at them like a wanna be Lambo, but the interior is really nice. I have never drivin the Gallardo but I love the 360. Either way, they are both very nice. 430 is hot but very hard to get for sure.

 | Allan either car is pimp. Saying the Gallardo is a piece of shit isn't a fair statement. Either way you'll be happy. Those are both cars that are the envy of most who appreciate fine automobiles. |

 | Ferrari, no doubt about it. Still an amazing Italian engineered car. Lambourghini has gone a lil down hill after Audi took over and started making them even though it is still a beautiful car. But regarding looks and the whole package, Id pick the ferrari any day of the week. |

No, if you want to know the truth the answers lay in the engineering. But if you think that I was creating a status issue you're wrong. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday. Many of the best and most seemingly simple innovations in our everyday passenger cars come from racing. Again, the Lamborghini isn't a bad car. It's nice, I'd drive one, but if my choice was between a 360 and a Gallardo, I'd choose 360 for more reasons than I have time to post.

And you're still missing the point. The Ferrari/Lambo thing is just as bad as the Camaro/Mustang crowd except that with teh Ferrari/Lambo arguement 99% of the people in the argument haven't even driven the cars let alone own them. Thats why I typically don't bother with it. Don't know why I did here My point is drive what you like. If someone likes a car because of how it looks don't run and scream at them "But this other car has heritage" or "This car gets 60 miles to the gallon" or whatever. Drive what you like, let others do the same We should make a rule here that if you want to comment you need to post what you drive first (this is general, not directed towards you )

I'm not missing your point. I got your point. Drive what you like. I agree. However, Allan asked for our opinions and I gave mine. You gave yours. The difference is I'm not telling you you're wrong for having your opinion. I have a different set of criteria for choosing the cars I drive than perhaps some. To end this. If your choice is between these two rides, I'd say go Ferrari. However, BradShaw makes a good point too. That SL 65 is sick.

I was more meaning to disagree with your putting down of other people's preferences and opinions than your choice of yours. You took me as doing what I was seeing you as doing Your starting off with "Gallardo Sucks" is what got me thinking you are in the same shoes as most of the people I see on the Lambo/Ferrari boards. I still disagree with your opinion but didn't mean you weren't entitled to it

 | Wow. Some very uninformed comments being made in this thread, as usual when people pop off about things they have no experience in. DatingGold: Best thing you can do is drive both. One will make itself the clear winner. I've spent a ton of time in both of them, and it's truthfully not a fair comparison. The 360 is an older car, developed in the mid-90s, with 100 less HP than the newer Gallardo. Like the NSX, or Lotus Esprit, the 360 is a bit dated when compared to the newer cars. Just go drive them and you'll find the one that best matches your needs.
