asp script instead of .htaccess on nt host
well well well!
found out why my .htaccess didn't work shit.... Im on nt host on the domain I need protected from hotlinking... Been looking online for some time now and I can't find an asp sript that does this... (tryed my host but they couldn'tt remember what it was called) so any1 who could help I would sure own a beer....... Thankz Vegaz

no .htaccess is a file in what you put all rules in , afterwards you can put it in a folder to be the rules when people take the files in folder.
It is not a mod of apache. For protect hotlinking, the mod_rewrite module should be added in apache. However, I'm not sure how to install the mod_rewrite. And also it seemed that rewrite rules are not helpful to stop hotlinking, people still have a lot of ways to jump your .htaccess. It seems a lot of webmaster here, what did they do for their own servers? Who can teach me? |
