This is shocking to say the least, why not go after things that are actually illegal and wrong...I mean wtf...
|
Then I'd suggest at this point you take it up with NCFS and call them out on the validity of their press release. In fact, I'd be interested in hearing what they say. I quite agree that much of it is worded the same as the Washington Post article - but NCFS would have to be accountable for what they're currently reporting.
And while I also agree there are some folks in the industry proclaiming "The sky is falling" - there is ample evidence these days to suggest times are a-changing and we'd all do well to stand on guard in defense. SilentKnight Quote:

The FBI goes worldwide these days to pick up Felons. Don't assume your safe by being outside the US if you are selling this type of content to US citizens. If you are making money from the US illegally they will come and get you with the exception of the handful of countries that won't allow their citizens to be extradited. |

holy crap...this is getting insane

So you're trying to say that if an American purchases adult content (that is considered illegal or obscene in the U.S.) from a legal Canadian source - the Canadian can be charged under U.S. law?!?!?!?
Cha'...that'd I'd like to see. If the U.S. gov't doesn't want what they perceive to be illegal content coming in to the country, its their job to stop it at customs. Despite their enormous collective ego and thinking the world revolves around them...U.S. feds can't impose their domestic laws on other sovereign nations. BS - youre just falling for the same hype that been going around our industry for the last 8 years - While I know the NCFS organization is a good org and not trying to dis them at all by this - I dont agree with all these idiots posting shit over here as if its brand new stuff - and Im sorry if you take everything that you read out there as fact - but its good to research stuff before posting it - otherwise you tend to cause other people to think that what you are posting is facts - and more importantly contribute to that "times are a -changin" lie - although it was a great song :) |

Take a moment and support your 1st Amendment organizations: IFA, FSC, EFF, ACLU, People for the American Way, VSDA, etc.
Don't be totally passive. Do something positive for yourself, your business, your customers, and the USA as a whole. Awareness is only the first step in achieving change for the better.... Start educating yourself on issues of importance to you, your freedoms, your life. It has been said, "Every journey begins with a first step." |

Like I said in a prior posting - if you take exception to NCFS's latest release - take it up with them. I didn't write the fucking thing...but merely reposted it here...for everyone's perusal and interpretation. Contact Susan Wright directly yourself and take it up with her. 917-848-6544. You can go on believing that things are still the status quo in the industry. That's your choice. I could care less. SilentKnight |
