Not terrible, but the music itself is over produced and the singer's voice does not match the music - especially the crunchy parts. Few bands can do what Fear Factory was able to do, (go from something very "soft" and melodic to an all out aural assault), and most sound like shit when they try.

Sounds pretty cool man. I also would not call it "metal" but they certainly have potential if they keep working and writing. Would like to hear more of they bring to the table.

why wouldnt you guys call it metal? I hear the double bass, guitar, mixture of singing/screaming, etc etc... Its just the quality of the demo is all... Those sounds are a lil lower...

Reminds me of Mudvayne a bit. Not bad. Drummer is tight. Good concepts in the song but could have done a bit more with the breaks and shit IMO.

I think cause it's not metal. It's more mainstream/hard rock like Mudvayne, POD, Nickelback etc etc etc. It's something you're likely to find on your local "rock" station. Metal to me is Sepultura, Slayer, Slipknot (at times)...shit like that.

LOL it's funny to see mudvayne called "rock" and "mainstream" because they had a few more hits then others....

They are no different then slipknot, slayer, or sepultura...

And to even put mudvayne in the same league as nickleback... Dont make me puke.

I won't argue with you Headless, I like Mudvayne, no matter where they are classified. Putting labels on music is dumb in the first place but I can get where people were saying this band didn't really "sound" metal. And I didn't put Mudvayne in the same category as Nickelback...but they do play them on the same stations usually, and I could hear some of the same qualities of both of those bands in this demo That's why I said what I did.

Putting Mudvayne in the same category with Slayer...is...however...a sin.

Not even close

Sorry to interject here, Slayer is in a class all of their own, they laid down the blueprint for death metal/speed metal that many are now trying to following. The only two that come remotely close are Pantera and Sepultura.

Guys thanks for the wonderful and honest responses. I didnt mean to put this band in the metal category and i know they are not true metal but i think they are more than a rock band to. The title was just meant to get fans of both in here to see what they thought. I am a nu metal fan myself and Deftones is with out a doubt in mind the best band that walks the earth but thats neither here nor there. Anyways alot of people commented on the drummer being good and beleive me he is bad ass and he is my friends nephew and he is 10 FUCKING YEARS OLD!!! (i would trade places with him in an instant). Here are the two other songs for the demo.

Demo 2

Demo 3

Sounds good to me, reminds me of 36 Crazyfists.. just less bitching and actually singing. Only thing that pissed me off was in the first demo, it kicks in with some screamo vocals, so you expect a few seconds of headbanging.. and then he starts singing

Deffo have the "scremo" part to them and that is a huge market... I'm blown away by the fact that the drummer is 10 yrs. old.

It is good, but like someone else said it sounds overly produced. A lot of the newer bands that I have heard all over produced though, for example C&C.

Good though, and the 10 y/o drummer thing.. whew, pretty cool.
