This is one of my friends nephews band and I just want your honest opinion this is just a demo not a big record studio song. If you guys like it I have a few more if they suck let me know. Also there is something pretty cool about this band but Ill let you know depending on feedback.

bangman 10-20-2005 10:13 AM

It's pretty good. Not really my type of music but I liked it.

Wiggles 10-20-2005 10:45 AM

its okay but not amazing, they have alot of potential though.

beta-tester 10-20-2005 10:48 AM

ok, they are fine...Classic "New Wave Of Rock", as I call this type of music ;)

I'd say too that they have a lot of potentional ;)

Good luck :thumbsup

Dwreck 10-20-2005 11:07 AM

Nice double bas drum work. I would buy it. I like it! How old are the guys?

JD 10-20-2005 11:11 AM

fucking sick shit man! When the CD comes out hit me up. I'll buy a couple.

Screaming 10-20-2005 11:12 AM

Demo 1

Sounds pretty good to me, although its far from metal.

Lycanthrope 10-20-2005 11:14 AM

Not terrible, but the music itself is over produced and the singer's voice does not match the music - especially the crunchy parts. Few bands can do what Fear Factory was able to do, (go from something very "soft" and melodic to an all out aural assault), and most sound like shit when they try.

FiReC 10-20-2005 11:16 AM

i like it, just the right amount of scream/vocals , i hate the shit that is all screaming.

WebairGerard 10-20-2005 11:16 AM

Sounds pretty cool man. I also would not call it "metal" but they certainly have potential if they keep working and writing. Would like to hear more of they bring to the table.

dropped9 10-20-2005 11:16 AM

I'll play it during my show today....

Whats the info your holding back? You got my interests perked...

dropped9 10-20-2005 11:18 AM

why wouldnt you guys call it metal? I hear the double bass, guitar, mixture of singing/screaming, etc etc... Its just the quality of the demo is all... Those sounds are a lil lower...

NickPapageorgio 10-20-2005 11:18 AM

Reminds me of Mudvayne a bit. Not bad. Drummer is tight. Good concepts in the song but could have done a bit more with the breaks and shit IMO.

I think cause it's not metal. It's more mainstream/hard rock like Mudvayne, POD, Nickelback etc etc etc. It's something you're likely to find on your local "rock" station. Metal to me is Sepultura, Slayer, Slipknot (at times)...shit like that.

LOL it's funny to see mudvayne called "rock" and "mainstream" because they had a few more hits then others....

They are no different then slipknot, slayer, or sepultura...

And to even put mudvayne in the same league as nickleback... Dont make me puke.

Gouge 10-20-2005 11:25 AM

I dont like the song, but i do like the drummer.

I won't argue with you Headless, I like Mudvayne, no matter where they are classified. Putting labels on music is dumb in the first place but I can get where people were saying this band didn't really "sound" metal. And I didn't put Mudvayne in the same category as Nickelback...but they do play them on the same stations usually, and I could hear some of the same qualities of both of those bands in this demo :) That's why I said what I did.

Putting Mudvayne in the same category with Slayer...is...however...a sin.

Not even close

Lace 10-20-2005 11:35 AM

Not bad..one guys voice sounds like ass but overall i like it.

Sounds a little like From Autumn To Ashes.

Sorry to interject here, Slayer is in a class all of their own, they laid down the blueprint for death metal/speed metal that many are now trying to following. The only two that come remotely close are Pantera and Sepultura.

S.A.K. 10-20-2005 11:46 AM

Guys thanks for the wonderful and honest responses. I didnt mean to put this band in the metal category and i know they are not true metal but i think they are more than a rock band to. The title was just meant to get fans of both in here to see what they thought. I am a nu metal fan myself and Deftones is with out a doubt in mind the best band that walks the earth but thats neither here nor there. Anyways alot of people commented on the drummer being good and beleive me he is bad ass and he is my friends nephew and he is 10 FUCKING YEARS OLD!!! (i would trade places with him in an instant). Here are the two other songs for the demo.

Demo 2

Demo 3

Dwreck 10-20-2005 11:51 AM

10 years old? My bullshit metter is going off!

I agree. For a demo it sounds good. But it is screamo.

:2 cents:

that's fucking nuts man. All i was doing at 10 was riding my bike.

Project-Shadow 10-20-2005 01:15 PM

Sounds good to me, reminds me of 36 Crazyfists.. just less bitching and actually singing. Only thing that pissed me off was in the first demo, it kicks in with some screamo vocals, so you expect a few seconds of headbanging.. and then he starts singing :( :1orglaugh

StephanieTD 10-20-2005 01:41 PM

Deffo have the "scremo" part to them and that is a huge market... I'm blown away by the fact that the drummer is 10 yrs. old.

websiex 10-20-2005 01:58 PM

It is good, but like someone else said it sounds overly produced. A lot of the newer bands that I have heard all over produced though, for example C&C.

Good though, and the 10 y/o drummer thing.. whew, pretty cool. :)

WebairGerard 10-20-2005 02:04 PM

Wow, fucking amazing. Lucky bastard!! :)

NickPapageorgio 10-20-2005 03:08 PM

That kid is going to go a long way as long as he keeps his nose clean. Keep him on the path man...

jonesy 10-20-2005 04:12 PM

nu-metal

clean recording - good playing.

most impressive is the the ten yr old drummer other than that cookie cutter.

sweethotkayla 10-20-2005 05:02 PM

Thats really awsome music! Love the screams and vocails are wonderful. Drumming is real smooth. When and If a CD comes out ill buy one, but someone is going to have to send it to me....
