The Official GFY Rock Band Thread - is you in or is you in

Alright, heres the deal. Theres a lot of musicians here, but we don't all live in the same house. So, heres my idea:

We compile a list of who plays what. We decide on a song to play. We play it. For example, I play drums. We could pick a song, I would play the drum track, upload it, someone who plays guitar could play guitar over it and upload the guitar and drum track. Someone would play base over those 2 tracks, someone would add vocals, tambourine, spoons, skin flute, whatever, until we have a full song.

Whos in?

How about we play "Shout at the Devil" by Motley Crue? Who wants to play guitar, bass, guitar and sing? Or play any other instrument like an eggbeater or a kaleidoscope.

Battle of the GFY bands....

Hilarious...

Jack and David have a studio

I will put this on the table

1 song must be a cover... I'll even take KB as my guitarist.....we have a battle of the bands at the players ball...

drummer and bass player....

we should do a jam at the Xbiz awards before the real band goes on

I grew up in Detroit, but moved to the foothills of TN, and drank alot of whiskey....Id rather play metal and hard rock, but i ran into a guitarist who was raised on bluegrass, and a drummer who was influenced by 80's arena rock, like kiss, van halen, def leppard. Me, I started singing in a band when i was 18, until the bass player quit, so someone had to play bass and sing.

I play bass, sing lead on half, backup on the rest.

Ive been wanting to fire up my gear again though....

Send me a drum track to any song & I will lay down the bassline for you. Fretless bass for over 13 years, taught privately for 5. Seriously though, Shout at the Devil, my nuts can play that on bass. But if you really want to play that it's cool with me.

Thanks man!!!!!

I sailed the coast from north to south, and its fishing its all about.
I'm kissing girls on every bay, from Peru to Marseille.
On the hour I was born, everybody sailed to see.
My road was chosen, but not for long.
Cause the music captured me.
A fisherman I will not be

When it all comes to an end
And my boat went off the cliff
That I'm not like you
all that I want to do
Is to play rock and roll, couse I havent got a fisherman's soul

Its about us not wanne be fishermen, but ROCKSTARS
