I didn't like it very much either. I found some parts funny, but I didn't really quite "get it" as the above poster stated he did. I think you just either found it funny and got it, or you didn't.

it's one of those movies like napoleon dynamite, you either think it's great or think it's shit.

it's basically a very quirky movie, with very quirky characters. It's the type of movie you'd expect Phillip Seymor Hoffman in (but he's not)

off topic - If you want to see how weird and depressing a movie can get rent Love Liza, it stars Hoffman http://imdb.com/title/tt0282698/
Takes place after his wife commits suicide and goes straight down hill from their, he gets addicted to huffing model airplane gas, loses his job, alienates his few friends etc

well.. if you're after car chases and wise cracking black guys it's not your kinda flick. Personally I thought it was one of the better movies released last year.

Did you get the movie Adaptation ?

It's just one of those things that touches base on many core realities(which are intristic, true, and fuckin hilarious) of people that they seem to fall to realize about they're everyday life and mentalities.

The movie was a little work of art.
Sometimes you just gotta get the "BANG BANG, BLOW EM UP, THRILLS AND FILLERS BLOCKBUSTER" expectation out of your mind.

Very few movies can be funny, smart, and universally cohesive.

You'll prob come around to shit like this when you're older(or get into/understand philosophy/physics/metaphysics).
