The candidate will also be responsible for the e-commerce systems the company utilizes. We are a very casual and easy going workplace and offer room to grow for an ambitious candidate. Major Duties and Responsibilities: E-commerce development and maintenance for a multitude of clients. Program client-server web applications and user interfaces/templates with Perl and PHP. Effectively work with project management, fellow programmers, web developers, and other employees to integrate a variety of proprietary technology and code. Help determine future technical direction for the company. Skills & Work Experience Required: 5+ years developing web applications or applicable experience. Strong proficiency in Perl and Apache web server. XML basics. Proficiency with Unix and MySQL. Knowledge and experience with Apache modules and Internet security and scalability issues. Understanding of challenges associated with high capacity, 24x7 web sites. Strong team player as well as an individual contributor. Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills. Nice To Have: Familiarity with 3rd party e-commerce systems. PHP and C/C++ experience. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related science preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
