If obese people did not drain the health system and invade my personal space then I would not have a problem... but sadly so, that is not the case!

I go to the gym monday through friday. All resistance training with freeweights (barbells, dumbbells, and some cable work depending on the muscle group). I have a new partner so I'm there a bit longer than usual, depending on the muscle group once again, I'm there anywhere from an hour (minimum) to 2 hours.

I took a week off recently because I thought I was over training... it was HORRIBLE! I could never imagine continually SITTING on the computer for months on end, day in, day out without working out or at least performing some type of exercise regularly. It makes me feel like shit.

Since that is the "standard" for most of everyone here (involved with computers), they don't know how much better they really would feel throughout the day if they exercised regularly and didn't eat shit 24/7.

I'm working on a new version of my online fitness training site HealthyGo and it's going to be 200x better than what it was before. I can guarantee it's going to be everything a person looking to lose fat or build muscle would want to help reach their goals, both workout-wise and diet-wise. I can't wait till it's done! I'll let everyone know once it is finished. :winkwink:

I've been doing kickboxing class twice a week for 6 weeks now, and it's really paying off. I am surprised that 3 hours a week can make that much of a difference! It's burning off more fat than when I was jogging three days a week.

I would agree with this statement that fat people cannot be healthy. Maybe they feel healthy and there isd nothing wrong with them, but they are bound to feel the problems later on in life.

i stopped smoking 6 months ago, gained 20 lbs :(
lately i've been making fruit smoothies to keep me full all day so that i dont eat too much, i dont have any snacks in the house (except popcorn), and i put myself on a budget of $50 a week in grocerys for food & other things (like shampoo, tide, etc) and that KEEPS the junk out of here cuz i barely have enough money in my budget to get the bare nessecaties. (hell, Tide costs $8..toliet paper $6..shavers are $7..and meat is around $6..cant get too much for $50 at the store for TWO people.)

i'm also gonna start walkin everynight for 30 mins or more. i'm flying out of town to see my family for thanksgiving and im so nervous cuz all the weight i gained so if i could get the 20 lbs i gained in the past 6 months, i'd be happy as hell. but i still need to get rid of the other extra 30 lbs from sitting at the computer all freakin day for the past couple yrs :(

I was never heavy until I married. Then, not only did I show off by cooking for him, I began to eat the foods I cooked...which are not foods I am used to. Then, I started on the Internet seven years ago..and, until this past Spring...was more pounds overweight than I will ever admit.

One day, my honey and I were putting in a flagstone patio and I thought I was dying because I had to rest every fifteen minutes. That was my wake up call.

I have a personal trainer who beats the shit out of me three days a week. I'm on a nutritional program, and I do cardio three to five times a week.

Next is kick boxing when I'm at goal....which will be in another six months. I figure it took seven years to get this way, I can spend the rest of my life going back to the way I was....lean and toxic.

Couldn't be fat if I wanted to. I bike a hilly 500km ( 300+ miles ) a week.
I eat everything in sight and am still hungry.
Just ate peanut M&M's until i was sick of them and about ready to eat this Miller Lite can.

Actually, I work out 5 days a week (running and weights), eat tons of fish and veggies, very little sweets and my stress levels are relatively low. I'm actually losing inches off of my waist and I'm feeling great.

I was 165 till I broke my leg last year..

now I'm 210 and have a little belly fat, I lift every day or so and can pretty much throw what I couldnt lift back then

I think it's pretty sad that so many people take such poor care of their bodies. It wouldn't bother me quite so much if it didn't directly effect me, but it does (i.e. health insurance costs, bodies oozing into my personal space on a bus or airplane, etc.). I work on the PC all day (and night, sometimes) long too, but I just make a point to go to the gym regularly and to eat healthy (no sugar, lots of H2O, lots of fruits and veggies, small portions, nothing overly fatty...easy stuff). The funny thing is, I am a huge food lover...sure I'd like to eat non-stop, but you've just gotta draw the line somewhere.

As an aside, if anyone is looking for a relatively easy (and healthy) way to shed a few pounds, Weight Watchers is a pretty solid program.

My migraines are raising your insurance rates a lot faster than my weight is. And I had them for 20+ years while I was thin so I don't think being chubby is the problem :winkwink: Find a way to get rid of them and I promise to lose the 50 extra pounds I'm carting around :)
