BUT what I am saying is that there are too many distractions and leaks on both tours. I'm not saying you need a pretty AMP tour either.

I make all my own tours, I recommend that, I think it adds originality. However I have learned what works and what doesn't. The formula I use now works well and is a result of experience, trial and error.

#1, the banners on MY tour is an extra five figures a year without doing anything extra..I'd be a fool NOT to have them up there because I am aiming for a paysite/linklist theme for it where instead of a tgp where there are links to galleries and ONLY galleries, my site has a paysite members area and links to TOURS, not galleries, which is more direct and more money in my pocket.

For the affiliate tour, the cookie is set for 255 days. So even when they click on the free gallery links on the tour, and even if they decide to click on that gallery link and IGNORE the fact that the original tour is already still on their screen ("target new") , the cookie isn't overridden since they had to get it set to get to that page in the first place....I highly doubt that the surfer will be too distracted by free pics from the site that they're looking at in the first place.

The yahoo group link is nothing more than an email collection box and nothing except my site is promoted through that group, and going back to the 255 day cookie thingy, they still get credit for sales....Because, once again, there is nothing to override the cookie that was already set before UNLESS they happened to click on another affiliate's ccbill link to my site and since I don't have that, there are no worries there.

The sextracker banner is WAY on the bottom and it's there for counting traffic so even if a surfer was distracted enough to click on it, I'd lose the sale too.

Yes, there is a link to a BLOG on the site but it isn't a porn site and no other porn is promoted on that site, including my own since I NEVER mention the name of the site on there.....So if a surfer sees the porn, decides to go to the blog, and THEN gets so distracted by the blog that he doesn't even want to buy anymore porn, then I can't help that anyway.....In addition, since a lot of people like that blog, maybe they'll eventually join the pornsite since I talk about it a lot on that blog and once again, the 255 day tracking would kick in.

Hell, somebody could be looking at a tour and then their boss calls them up to go do something...There's NUMEROUS legitimate ways a surfer can get "distracted" when looking at a tour. As long as I'm not intentionally trying to fuck the affiliate over and steal legitimate traffic, I'm not worried about minor things like trying to collect emails for BOTH me and the affiliates benefit. If a yahoo group link and links to a blog distracts them then they weren't buying anyway.

I do not look at the tour hardly at all. If someone I trust says a program is doing well for them, I try it out. I have no idea what converts. I have no idea if a new tour is going to be good or horrible.

Looked at the tour above and all it says is this guy thinks his own site does not convert.

Why is the traffic that typed into your site not worth as much as a banner click to TCG? That is nuts. Having said that, if i get a term for black traffic. I would try it out.

And all of that goes back to not thinking like a surfer and thinking like a webmaster.

A SURFER who is interested in porn, especially a particular type of porn doesn't give a SHIT if there's a non-porn blog linked. Especially after they had to read at least one whole sales pitch before they even saw a link to the blog..They aren't going to be distracted enough by a yahoo group email collection box to take them out of the mindset of wanting to buy porn...that's a WEBMASTER mindset, not a surfer.

Plenty of people have told me not to put banner links up on the non-affiliate page because of "traffic-leaks" but I think that would have been dumb to listen to that because a SURFER doesn't know what a traffic leak is...To a surfer, those links are OPPORTUNITIES.

And I must know a little something since I've never had to put a free trailer on my site yet and sales are still fine.

I'll design a tour to replace YOUR tour for a year. After a year if my tour doesent generate more money I lose and I pay you the difference. If it makes more then I keep the difference?

5 figures made from those banners could be 10k - 99k. For your sake I hope it's closer to 10K because if you are closer to 99k from those banners something is terribly wrong.

If I was selling cute white girls in bikini's, then yes, it would be detrimental to have links to similar sites...But when you sell ugly ass street hoes, either the surfer likes that type of porn or he doesn't and if he doesn't, I want to direct him to every last black site imaginable where I can get paid. That's just my philosophy.

As a webmaster you have to realize that surfers will click anything. That is how free stats things work. Not sure how you run your prgram but mostly folks comingin the front door are type ins or SE traffic. This is your best converting stuff. Why let them leak out? You know they want what you have.

fine with the agree to disagree stuff. Why go a year why not go for 2 days? Clean the tour way up and try for a few days. No need to guess.

Honestly I think its great for Bang Bros but bad for the webmasters

But the new webmasters don't care about money as much as how kool there free site will look.

But I have always thought we would be making more if shit was censored

I've already gone through trial and error already with the clean tour. I tried it for a month and a half and I wouldn't have come to my conclusion without first testing my hypothesis...There's is no significant increase or decrease in signups to my site whether the ads are on there or not. And it doesn't matter how many ads are there....Retention wouldn't come into play because I don't upsell in the members area.

And in MY experience, I make more money the way I'm doing it. I can't POSSIBLY see how the difference in banner income would be replaced by signups just by taking the banners off.

Other people's experiences may vary.

I see your point. It's amazing that with the censoring of those two tours you mentioned before, sales went up 50%. That is a very big jump in joins.
