I was just going through my mail and noticed uncle sam supposedly sent me a form to register for the selective service system and it said if i didnt register i could recieve a $250,000 fine and 5 years in jail. Isnt this an outdated law?

Almost all male U.S. citizens, and male aliens living in the U.S., who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service.
