Bells and whistles on pay sites

When you are looking for sites to promote, do you look for sites with bells and whistles or just good quality content? If you look for special features to entertain the surfers you are promoting to, what special features do you feel are important for a pay site to have?

Totally agree. My best sites are the really simple ones. Big text links, not flashing animations.

When you say "bells and whistles" I believe you mean an expensive splash and tour right? Think about it..if you sucker the surfer in, and he finds shit inside, they'll either refund, chargeback, or just never come back. (never mind your rebills) It's kind of a silly question .

Showing most recent updates on the tour is always a good feature, especially for guys who canceled and are thinking about rejoining.

Those bells and whistles are very disturbing. IMO it basically says "bullshit inside"
Those things are equally disturbing on program pages. Disainers dont know shit about marketing or usuability is my guess

Not at all. I mean, I'm asking the question because I'm thinking about what would be best to do specifically for SpookyCash sites and I started doing sites because I had good content I wanted to share. I didn't start creating content because I had sites. Please let me try to explain my question better.

When you are looking for what to promote, does it matter to you if a pay site offers surfers things like a forum or voting on various things or anything along those lines? If special features are important to you, which special features are most likely to motivate you to want to send your traffic to a site?
