Paycounter stats accurate?
Does anyone use paycounter? I noticed that stats always show a large number of uniques within the first few seconds of any given hour. Is it counting hourly uniques per hour, instead of daily uniques per hour?
How does it come to it's daily unique figure? Surely not by adding up the hourly uniques? So we're getting hourly uniques per day instead of daily uniques per day? Am I way off on this?

Does anyone understand what I'm asking, or am I talking a foreign language, or does noone use Paycounter?

AdultWire,
80,000+ Websites use PayCounter.. Over 16,000 Webmasters... I think your question was a bit difficult to understand.. Let me see if I get it. The uniques are counted as Uniques within the previous 24 hour period. However, the forecasting moves around based on how many uniques it's received in the day and/or hour and then attempts to extrapolate out the uniques that you'll receive by the end of that period. Its very jumpy at the begining of the hour, due to the lack of data it has for that hour. I'm going to have a programmer look into our forecasting formulas to see if we can make it more accurate and less jumpy during the beggining of the hour/day... If you have any other questions or comments please feel free to contact [email protected]. We have support staff standing by to make sure that you get a speedy answer. Thanks, KC |
