What should a webmaster be earning after 1 year

Heya Guys,

I'm wondering if i'm doing well compared to other webmasters that started last year from scratch.
Off course you see loads of webmasters making big bucks but most of them have been in the biz for 5 years or longer.
Should i be making 5k a month by now or is 1k more reasonable?
I don't skim or blind link and have about 7k a day visitors on the homepage and 16k a day on all my galleries.

by the way...i'm still working a fulltime job

Any tips what i should do better on my site are more than welcum

cheers

I work about 2 hours a day on the site and after a 11 hr day job i'm just too shattered to do more.
I guess it needs more time....at least my earnings are going the right way and traffic to the site as well. After seeing cybermikes thread with mayors money i kind of felt like shit. The dude made with 1 programme in 2 weeks what i score in a month CyberMike has been in the biz for a long time so that's why i was wondering what a noob like myself should be making

If your doing adult full time you should be making at least 100k a year .... unless you jerk around and don't mind living on less ... but i put full efforts to adult and do very well with it ... work hard and be rewarded ..

You should jump into the biz fulltime and fuck your day job. That was the best advice someone ever gave me. Then you should be making 100k a year easy if you are smart. Don't limit yourself to one site, do galleries, free sites, seo work etc...

Cheers

Def do more then just running a TGP/MGP site. Look into your own gallery submitting, seo work etc. I wish I would have been doing that the past 3 years instead of just the past year. You really start to add income with the more you learn and work you put into it.

I agree that ditchin my job would be the best thing to do. I have heard other webmasters say the same thing. Problem I have is, is that I have a mortgage to pay and I find th risc a little high to stop the job totally. I have been thinking of working 3 days instead of 5.
i think i'll give that a try. I really can't afford to lose income and that is the only reason what's holding me back from ditchin my job

I submit my galleries to something like 20 forums and do that on a daily bases.
Do you have any other tips what and where i should promote my galleries?

Here's an example of what i promote:
I make a couple of sets (never hosteds) and create a main gallery page like this.
Then I post the url below to the forums.

http://www.teeniesinaction.com/brookeskye.htm

I kind of gave up trying to promote single galleries to TGP's. Chance that you get promoted in this day is pretty small unless you pay big bucks.
Also you then have to make dedicated galleries with recips and what not.

Maybe there are other recources where I can post that you could recommend?

I agree with woj. try to submit your galleries to TGP / MGP instead of forums and launch a lot of new sites and see what works for you ;)

I am 2 months shy of 2 years in the business. After my first year I made approximately $2400 a month Net. Now I make about $8000 Net. I learned a lot in the first year but was seriously lacking in many ways too. At about the 1st year Bday I really starting getting shit and reading between the lines no longer looked to fuzzy and incomprohensable.

By 1 1/2 years I was doing $5000 a month and each day I learn more shit. But each day I learn shit, I also learn better ways to apply my time.

Back in the beginning I did this very part time and by the first years ending I quit my day job and took a serious pay cut. I am talking steep... In half. It hurt. So bad I cried. But then I got it back and the pain of not having money around like I used to is what made me really go for it without failure.

Failure was no longer an option!

Now I am having NO PROBLEM seeing 13K-15K a month being possible by December.

Keep at it and don't let bad decisions kill you. Use them. Know that everyone else is making the same bad decisions you are. But everyone who is doing 10K a month IS DOING 10K A FRIGGIN MONTH... So can you. Befriend a mentor. Google their shit. Buy a T3 report on them. Get info... Consume information... The writing is on the wall... take the time to read it.

just give it some time man really , making money online isnt a problem and as alot of people said here dont just stick to 1 site its big mistake
i expirienced that myself when kaktuz got fucked hardcore back at the day my income almost gone to trash , but after that i got some brain and opened few more sites and now even if 1 of my sites dies i still have income to count on ... and just dont give up
maybe trying doing few stuff together for example i do also webpage design & coding for people and so on... try entering few areas so even if 1 area is gone u have income sources.

Also good info!

One of my best domains got banned by Google. Cost me a lot of income for about 2 weeks.. Then Yahoo picked it up and I've been making about $2000 from it ever since... But in the mean time I bought and used another 40 domains.

Now shit is more stable... I don't fear Google bans... I don't fear Yahoo bans...

At one point my best sponsor was Nasty Dollars... Made me $4000 a month... I was so happy... Then they switched their scrub or some shit and it went to shit.. well... not shit.. but not $4000 a month either.... So now I promote about 20 sponsors... if one shaves today, maybe the other 19 relaxed and let me have extra that day... spead shit out!

This month is a TCG month... Next month might be teen revenue... next Ferro cash (who?).... spread the shit out... niches, sponsors, domains...

Good point, it's not like this is the most stable business to be in. Some years are better than others just like some days are better than others. Generally speaking, things should only get better over time, but we all took a big crunch when the dot com bottom fell out, so it's not always true.

lol, something similar happened to me, when I gave up my day job I was making about $1500.00 a month from adult (enough to live on here) with NastyDollars being my main sponsor, my first month as a full-timer I made about $1000.00 cause ND went to shit

a full 12 months of 100% full time (40+ hours a week), you should be banking around $2-3k a month, with significant increases every month.

Both... some are stacked, most are not.
