Oh man, let's hope not. Apparently, when it comes to hurricane history, the 90s were a minor reprieve in an otherwise long and violent history of storms hitting the Southeast US.

Rita is now in front of the Bahamas but is set to move to into the gulf of Mexico
moving west of New Orleans where the heart of the US oil industry is located.
It's not looking very good.....let's hope severe damage will be spared

right now it is a tropical storm but once it gets into the gulf nobody knows how big it could blow up as the water is super warm right now.
