There are other countries with higher guns per person then the US with far less gun violence. I think Canada is an example of this.

yeah, canada has way more guns per capita. however getting a handgun isn't easy. personally i think the problem isn't so much guns, as it is the american way of looking at firearms, crime, etc. for whatever reason people are killing each other with guns at an alarming rate. you can't deny that no matter how you want to spin things.

Our conception of freedom is totally different apparently, my idea of freedom isn't getiing shot because some asshole owns a gun and *thinks* I did something to him. Shoot first ask questions later, that's the mentality that gets thousands killed each year.

well i guess its just the dutch people that you know who act like that... me and everyone i know thinks its pretty cool to shoot, i did some shooting with a double barreled hunting rifle when i was like 13 and all i can remember was that it gave me a rush.

The problem in the US though is that its too easy to get one. Think of the elections; more then 50% voted on bush, so 50% of the huge amount of people in the US is retarded and/or inbreed. And you know those people are not the best when it comes to anger control or reasonable thinking so when they have a gun they will use it in cases that its not necessary.

No denying that people get killed with guns. I just think that is the weapons of choice in the US. If it wasn't guns it would be something else.

Now regarding yoru issues with medications...I personally have not seen where that would keep you from getting a concealed weapons permit in the states I have lived in..now if you have told your doctor that you thought about harming yourself, or others with a gun that's a different story and NO you should not be able to carry a concealed weapon if that's the case.

Seems almost every teen that I knew that was on any type of those meds went though a Gothic stage in their life...Almost all of them bragged about being a "cutter" or some other self inflicted damage.

I would trust someone that has ADD/ADHD/OCD over any body that was bi-polar/Anger problems.
