BUT the United States make no mistake about it, good decision or not, will rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast to the tune of a couple hundred BILLION dollars and continue to battle the evil doers into submission for as long as it takes. Can YOUR country do this? If not shut the fuck up and worry more about why you talk American, walk American and breath American culture 24/7 including GFY - another American institution you can't get enough of.

Well I agree with you but what makes me laugh are the foreigners that think because our military is stretched thin we would have trouble with another war or if someone invaded the US.

The decisions in the United States are taken by the president. 400mil people may want the very best of New Orleans, but if the president is as effective as it is right now it won't happen. Actually there is a chain of command in the United States.
It goes from bottom up.
Had the President declared martial law like it was discussed a few days ago, then not only would it have been illegal but all of the people screaming today about how incompetent he is would have been screaming about the outrageous illegal act of declaring martial law.

Now, that peasants like most of us are do not know about Federal and Constitutional law is ok, after all we are merely porn peddlers who are not supposed to be versed in law. But to hear US Senators and Congressmen yack about this is truely incredible, they know the law but they are using this tragedy for political gain.

The full responsability lies on the mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana. The mayor did not use the full resources available to him to evacuate his people, he was supposed to know that most people who are on welfare do not have any means of transportation, he did not use the merely 500 school buses availableto him (picture of them was posted a few days ago). Secondly the Governor did not declare a state of emergency which would have allowed full disposal of Federal resources.

Why do you think there is no scandal in Mississippi? Because it is mostly white? Nope, even been there? Because, the Governor there declared a state of emergency prior to the arrival of the storm. Louisiana's Governor should be impeached for criminal negligence and so should the mayor.

Remember, the chain of command goes from the bottom up in State to Federal procedural law.
