Red Lobster is going to get so owned this month

I just found out their shrimp fest is back. All you can eat shrimp for $17.99 CDN. I have been waiting all year. Last year me and my brother took down 300 shrimp each. I have been saving my appetite all year for these so am aiming for 500 this year. Heck, if they keep bringing 10 shrimp every 5 minutes by the time the 300 are in, the first 100 will be out the toilet. The challenge is on. I am now also accepting bids from Lobster Trap and other seafood restaurants eat there every day this festival is on.

Red Lobster is the McDonalds of the seafood world. But then again I'm spoiled living in FL.

Make sure you don't get all battered shrimp or you'll explode.

I ponder we should have a gfy competition of who can eat the most shrimp there. They give you a bill at the end that tells you how many you ate. I'll try to find the one from last year

Yah that's not bad but I doubt they lose as much on those. I just finished a couple sessions of those at the Manderin. Vinni Zuchini's has them every Friday now.

Hell no, they are amazing. I go for the garlic ones when it's all you can eat. No bread to fill you up. Also be sure to take the salad and rice they give you home instead of killing your appetite with it before the shrimp are ready.

For a change a few of us decided to go there for lunch. Bad move. The only thing enjoyable about the meal was getting the check and knowing my take was only $11. Rusty thumbtacks and cigarette butts would have been tastier.

Red Lobsters are gross, esp when you live on the coast and can get so much better food at a decent restaurants. I guess if you live inland, they aren't so bad?

Food is always better at it's source.

I ate dinner at someone's cattle farm once, and it was the best meat I'd ever had. It was freshly slaughtered that morning so it hadn't even been frozen.

Corn in the midwest from a decent farm is also amazing compared to the store bought stuff everywhere else in the country.

Not to sound like a dick/and or insensitive to those with weight issues - but Red Lobster will remain profitable, regardless - meanwhile those of which who can actually consume 300 pieces of shrimp, are well, yes getting an AMAZING deal. But in the end, are the one's truly getting owned, as is. Let alone with 300 additional shrimps.

In 2003 Red Lobster ran the all u can eat crab leg deal. It was $20. Six months go by and the earnings for Darden Restaurants (the mother ship who also runs Olive Garden and like 4 other chains), come out and their numbers are way down. All fingers point towards an 8 figure loss the Red Lobster division lost because they misjudged how much people would eat. The CFO of Red Lobster or maybe it was the CEO, I cant remember, was shortly thereafter fired because of this promotion gone awry.

With folks trying to down 300+ shrimp its no wonder.
