Sean Penn in NO and on CNN

He kinda emphasises that the rescue effort in NO is largely civilian.

CNN had a story of a businessman sending all of his emplyees who had boats to NO to have them search for survivors and the dead.

Should not the marines and navy be there already?

CNN is showing the 82nd airborne rolling into action now.

What took so long?

You can bet your pretty little ass that if "Dubya" had been holed up on a rooftop in NO for whatever reason after the hurricane, the military presence would have been a little different, and the response time would have been minutes.

I really don't understand what has taken so long with this whole situation. It's pretty fucked to say the least...

I urge everyone to look at and download the Anderson Cooper interview done by Bill Mahar.

Sean Penn, actor and high school droput, is a moron and bufoon. You left
out the main part of the story.... the part how inept
and laughable his pathetic rescue attempt was.
Since his personal photographer was along for the ride, it
looks like it was an attempt for a cheap photo op.

New Orleans is not a movie set. Leave the rescue attempts to the
military professionals, with the equipment, training , and skill to do the job.

Sean Penn's rescue bid sinks
From correspondents in New Orleans
05sep05

EFFORTS by Hollywood actor Sean Penn to aid New Orleans victims stranded by Hurricane Katrina foundered badly overnight, when the boat he was piloting to launch a rescue attempt sprang a leak.

Penn had planned to rescue children waylaid by Katrina's flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch.
The actor, known for his political activism, was seen wearing what appeared to be a white flak jacket and frantically bailing water out of the sinking vessel with a red plastic cup.

When the boat's motor failed to start, those aboard were forced to use paddles to propel themselves down the flooded New Orleans street.

Asked what he had hoped to achieve in the waterlogged city, the actor replied: "Whatever I can do to help."

With the boat loaded with members of Penn's entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"

We have more important matters such as liberating some people in the Middle East who hate our fucking guts.

Leave it to a redneck texan to call someone a 'bufoon' and can't even get the spelling right. Its BUFFOON, you buffoon. Also, its DROPOUT not 'droput', ironic mentioning someone's a high school dropout when your spelling is at a 3rd grade level.

Meanwhile you sit behind your computer criticizing people that try to help. You must be very proud of yourself.
