Canon 20d help, Auto focus not working on brand new camera

I bought a 20d a couple weeks ago and the auto focus isn't working. This happened a few days ago and it started working the next day. Anyone know if there is a way to fix this through the settings?

Hit the AutoFocus Button/switch on the side of the lens.
Probably got it on Manual still.

mines are on the road for productions - so i can't look. but what lens are you using? the one that came with the set? or some older lens that you already had? if so, is that compatible with the 20d?

i tried taking out the lens and putting it back in. now it works but only focus's a bit then stops, could it be something else other than the lens?

Did your force it to focus in Automode?

Ya could have broken the Focus gears in the cam if so.

Never focus the cam manually in Autofocus mode it can or will break the gears and the best prevent it from focusing correctly in AutoFocus mode..

take it back to the store and get another lens OR camera - canon has great support for probs - i just switched out a flash unit no hassle

btw - the lens that comes with the set is crap anyways....

get the 24-70 2.8 from canon - that one is excellent. there is just one problem: it costs about the same as the camera

The lens was included so i'll probably have to keep it an get another one to shoot with. All the stores are closed though here because of labor day. Unless I go downtown
