I bought a 20d a couple weeks ago and the auto focus isn't working. This happened a few days ago and it started working the next day. Anyone know if there is a way to fix this through the settings?

mines are on the road for productions - so i can't look. but what lens are you using? the one that came with the set? or some older lens that you already had? if so, is that compatible with the 20d?Originally posted by mkxi just picked this up, didn't get a new lens for it yet. the instructions tell me i can reset to default settings on the camera in the menu tab but i don't see the custom settings to do itComment

Did your force it to focus in Automode?
Ya could have broken the Focus gears in the cam if so.
Never focus the cam manually in Autofocus mode it can or will break the gears and the best prevent it from focusing correctly in AutoFocus mode..Comment

btw - the lens that comes with the set is crap anyways....
get the 24-70 2.8 from canon - that one is excellent. there is just one problem: it costs about the same as the camera
