Please name good horror, action and comedy movies that are awesome

Hi Im looking for good horror, action and comedy movies. Not all together but seperate. If you can name good ones that I should buy that would be great. I would like to update my movie collection. My all time favorite movie is The Shining. Thanks I want the horror movies to scare the hell out of me, ever seen "A fire in the sky"? I dont think that was a horror but damn it scared the hell out of me when I was like 15 or so. I want the comedy to really make me laugh not that boring shit please. I like detective or cop action based thrillers too.

1 - Horror: in my book, Romero's Night of the Living Dead tops the list...The Exorcist is a close second, and I love Evil Dead, ReAnimator, and Army of Darkness.

2 - Action: French Connection is a fav, but I'm not really an action fan.

3 - Comedy: Animal House, Saving Silverman, Ron Burgendy, any Austin Powers...

I can't think of much else right now...I shot 4 scenes today and my brain is dead.

Here's a few I though of...

Horror:
The Fog
Halloween
Friday the 13th
The Changeling. (Kinda slow but a really good ghost story with lots of goose bump moments)
The Evil Dead Series. (Good for Horror, some action and comedy.)
The Sixth Sense
John Carpenter?s The Thing. (Great horror movie, suspense and action)
An American Werewolf in London. (Horror with some comedy)
Psycho I & II (Sorry but I actually kinda liked second one.)

I found this list of someone?s idea of the top 100 horror movies that might help you.
http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/page...ie_horror.html

Action:
The Die hard Series
The Lethal Weapon Series
Predator (kinda horror? But always thought of it as an action movie)
Raiders of the Lost Ark
True Lies (Action/Comedy)
Any James Bond movie with Sean Connery
Saving Private Ryan
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Sting.
Full Metal Jacket

Comedy:
The Kentucky Fried Movie
CaddyShack
Bruce Almighty
Goldmember
Arthur
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
A Fish Called Wanda
Young Frankenstein
Airplane
MASH (the movie)

As far as comedy movies go "Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back" is definately one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Another one is "Tommy Boy", they just released the "Holy Schnike Edition" just last week, I definately picked that up

I umm "borrowed from the internet" an old 1980's era horror movie by the name of "cannibal holocaust" the other day.

And I must say it was the most gory movie I have ever seen. In the sense that the gore was very realistic in nature.
