Okay, I think what is happening in New Orleans is a prime example of racial tension in the United States. As soon as shit hit the fan, all the poor black people began controlling things. Now, I'm no expert, but you'd think they'd have some pent up anger, with the working minimum wage jobs, living in the crappy neighborhoods etc. Not only do they not make much money (huge generalization, I know), they have to put up with racism. From my understanding, black people are treated worse by customers than white people are. So they get paid less, to be treated worse, to go home to their small house in the seedy part of town, while putting up with racist people.

They've had their first taste of power since being brought over as slaves, and they like it.
