Looking forward to your suggestions... thanks! |

May I suggest the kodak DX3600. I got one last year with the docking station and loved it. and it is not badly priced either. mine cost around 450.00 with the docking station and a 32meg card.

I shoot all my content with several different cameras in the Olympus Camedia "C" line (C-3000, C-4040, etc.). Since Olympus has never offered a fully-auto SLR, opting instead to specialize in ZLR's (zoom lens reflex), I believe they know about as much about zoom lens design as anyone. The cameras are easy to use and can produce beautiful photos, especially when you use the off-camera flash unit to mix bounce and fill flash.

![]() Get a Sony. Pick one that comes close to that price and you can't go wrong. Better image quality than anything Kodak makes. Optical zoom is what you need to look for in ANY digital camera, and at that price range, you can get one with the Carl Zeiss lens, I believe.
