Yes I used to offer my services focusing on Yahoo and Google... this thread is from 2003 before the "sandbox" effect was kicked in regarding google.

Now that the sand box is in effect it takes approx 1 yr to get ranked for a LARGE competitive term... I'm not talking about simply being indexed or getting super samll keywords.

Some of the people that hired me from that thread have had top spots for 2yrs - like roccomovies.net

Q. Isn't this kind of information available free on the internet?
A. Some of it is yes. If you want to spend a year reading through all the information out there and try and determine what is true and what works etc... then go through all the trial and error wihtout knowing any shortcuts etc - be my guest - most people's time is worth more than this headache. There is also a lot of information I teach that you can not find anywhere on the net for free. The same can be said about the adult industry in general... every aspect of the adult industry has tutorials and info out there readily available and yet 80% of webmasters don't make more than $2k/mth. Those other 20% know something you dont - they are working a different plan of attack then you are.

Q. I've tried my hand at seo. I've read everything I can find, I've made sites etc but I am having limited or no success but I'm not a noob that needs fundamentals explained to me... do you have a shorter more advanced teaching program.

My point was if you want to make money and thats your end goal you can do it with yahoo. I have never spent much time with msn and I'm honestly not sure what kind of criteria they use for ranking... I have noticed that sites that do well in google/yahoo sometimes do well in msn but I have also noticed that shit ass pr0 subpages rank at the top of msn also...

So I focus on what I know how to do and it works well... if I get msn traffic from my efforts than I consider it a bonus.

You're bringing in clients; it's better that you teach, so then they can depend on their own work habits and either succeed or fail if they have good work habits or not; you're not the one doing the work on the sites.

I know you're bringing in clients: a lot of your newer ones have been contacting me and I've been telling them basically I believe I know you know what you're doing, but my personal experience has been that you're slow at it; whether you take too many clients on at once and can't handle the load, or any other possibility...

Anyway.. I don't want to bicker over ICQ because I'm trying to get you to react. I've said nothing negative or harmful to your knowledge of being able to make sites, and if you're a good teacher then you'll likely just make better competitors for yourself, and everyone else; including me ya fucker. :P

First mistake was to dis WG , who for anyone who knows something about the game is supremo, when it comes to integrity and Search Engine Marketing skills.
Second was to brag about placings that aren't worth the $1000 it cost your clients to get.The only google listing is due more, to the quality of the site and the work of the owners of joggs.com that it is to your seo.
Thirdly, the consistent and regular spamming of gfy to offer your services is a flag that you need money real bad.This does not instill confidence in in your seo skills.
Seo is not rocket science but to get a variety of high spots in google for real competitve words, you need a edge.
I am not sure ou have that edge.

swami - For what MJ - Jojojo's offering for what he's charging, I think it's a fair price for those that don't want to bother reading and just learn and be told how to make money, and the harder they work at it and learn more on their own, the more they can further themselves and make more money; if they're any good at it themselves.

I have no problem with Jojojo except that due to reasons, which could be valid or not [no way of knowing so I'm ignoring it] is that he took too long to deliver what was promised in a contract, and so he said he would refund me my money, and now that has simply taken longer than I would like; though I believe he will pay me back still, and he didn't have no results, he did what works currently, on Yahoo.. which is a decent sized traffic source still..

We ar using MJ's services. We are from Vancouver I had him come to my office and meet him in person before we went forward. Like most was skeptical of SEO promises. It's weird to read this thread and see what picture is being painted of the person I met. We are doing well with him and he has been totaly professional with how he deals with us. He is not a personal friend so i'm not trying prop him up. Anyone claiming to be the best at something does open himself up to scrutiny which seems the case here.

Let me clarify the bottom line of that other thread. I was saying to affiliate programs that they should be the ones coming up #1 for the NAME OF THEIR PAYSITE ie: paysitename.com, paysitename, pay site name - that they should protect their brand etc...

the other side of the arguement (made mainly by programs who don't know anything about seo where the name of their site is dominated by seo guys and review sites) that by having the paysite itself being number 1 for the name of the site would be stealing from the affiliates. They don't see it as leeching off their brand.

As far as their business model I will let Huey answer for himself - I just wanted to clarify the bottom line of the other thread.

It doesn't take a year to get into, but a year to achieve rankings. They have a "new site filter" commonly referred to as "sandbox" by the SEO community. There are ways around it, but try ranking a new domain on Google for anything competitive, it's near impossible.

Thirdly, the consistent and regular spamming of gfy to offer your services is a flag that you need money real bad.This does not instill confidence in in your seo skills. Seo is not rocket science but to get a variety of high spots in google for real competitve words, you need a edge. I am not sure ou have that edge.

I have no problem with Jojojo except that due to reasons, which could be valid or not [no way of knowing so I'm ignoring it] is that he took too long to deliver what was promised in a contract, and so he said he would refund me my money, and now that has simply taken longer than I would like; though I believe he will pay me back still, and he didn't have no results, he did what works currently, on Yahoo.. which is a decent sized traffic source still.. Like most was skeptical of SEO promises. It's weird to read this thread and see what picture is being painted of the person I met. We are doing well with him and he has been totaly professional with how he deals with us. He is not a personal friend so i'm not trying prop him up. Anyone claiming to be the best at something does open himself up to scrutiny which seems the case here. Hell, I talked to the guy who ranks top 5 for debt consolidation terms and will gross over a million this year. I mean you are the best, seems you are making a huge mistake economically.
