Bodies seen floating down New Orleans canals.

Could have been dead bodies washed out from the floods but they aren't sure.

Just watched the BBC news, and this black guy was in tears. He said he was holding on to his wife, in the water surge. He couldn't hold on any longer. Her last words were "take care of the kid"

If you are an animal lover, there are hundreds of stranded dogs and cats on top of houses that are in flood areas.

Terry Crisp's organization Noah's Wish is on scene. Their sole mission is to go into disaster areas to rescue the homeless, abandonded and stranded animals.

Please, please help them! They really do an incredible job in situations like this and need all the support they can get, because it is a very challenging task.

Geez, that's terrible. Sounds like our tsunami.

But, how come these victims didn't evacuate? If you stay in the path of a disaster, these things are expected.

I personally don't like the "country" of the USA much because of george w bush ... but I think it's really sad that innocent people are drying .

Some people might be happy it will hurt the economy ... but other then that... not many people are happy to see others die

I think it's more like this: not many people can take in a family displaced by the storm, or even one person displaced, but adopting an animal is a feasable (sp?) way to help.

Would you carry your dialysis machine with you? Perhaps your 5 kids ages 1 month to 7 years in age? Sure some of the people could have left but it's impossible for everyone to just up and leave.

Would you stay and DIE? What if they said there was a nuke hidden in New Orleans and it was going to go off in 3 days if it's not found. Are you going to stay because of your dialysis machine and 5 kids? 150 years ago people basically walked 2000 miles or more to move out west and they had kids.

I'll just leave you in your comic book world. At the average walking speed of 3 miles an hour you could get 108 miles if you walked 36 hours straight. That's carrying nothing and considering you don't sleep, can get food and water, and aren't slowed down by your kids or your chronic illness. I'm sure your granny would be walking 100 miles mostly on highway with $0.00 and nowhere to fucking go. In fact, if she is anything like you I'm positive.

I got first hand calls yesterday that bodies werefloating down streets.

a friend called me to ask if I had heard anything about my family there.

he told me a friend told him he SAW BODIES.

this was BEFORE ANY REPORTS of it. I have hundreds of friends there right now and hundreds of my family members as well.

as for evacuation. you cant simply walk out nor can you just leave.

to stay at superdome you needed 3 days worth of food, most did NOT MEET THAT!!!

my mom had to drive to Houston and my aunt had to drive as far as Dallas.

it is IMPOSSIBLE to evacuate 100% people.

it just doesnt happen.

first off, most do not have the 1000 dollars to get out.

hotel fees alone keep people from evacuating, and they would have to drive to alaska for a hotel.

I'm sure your granny would be walking 100 miles mostly on highway with $0.00 and nowhere to fucking go. In fact, if she is anything like you I'm positive.
Listen retard, fine they stayed like you say and they DIED. Hmmm good fucking ideal there Einstien. I'm so sure that while some chick with her dialysis machine and 5 kids are walking that NO ONE would bother to give them a ride eventually. By the way 108 miles would have been a much safer distance than being in New Orleans and this hurricane has been out there for over a week. Just a suggestion if you like ina area were there are possibilties of hurricanes and you are not able to escape may I suggest MOVING.

I lived in Flordia for over 10 years. If you don't have a plan and are not prepared BEFORE hurricane season starts and you live in a hurricane zone then you are an idiot, PERIOD.

youre obviously very clueless about these types of things and there is no way I will try to convince some kid on a board about life and death situations.

believe what you will, until youve been there you only have a useless opinion about something you have no clue about.

so you may as well be talking about brain surgery because you are clueless.
