Question about Linksys Router

it seems every 12 hours like clockwork the router resets itself and my internet connection at 6:14 or 6:18.. lately its been 6:14

I have the settings to Keep-Alive, cant find anything in the settings to stop resets or reconnections..

anybody have any idea why it does this and how to disable it?

questions about lynksis?

answer,

get a netgear.

had tons of problems with my lynksis router ever since i got it. sometimes i couldn't even sign onto aim/icq for hours at a time when the rest of the conenction was functioning normally. got myself a netgear rangemax, no more problems.

Exactly, have had problems with a number of Linksys Routers. Ya should have bought a Netgear!!!!!! More and better portocol handling on the Netgear. Now, I just walk away from them and tell the client or friend, ya gotta buy a netgear first. Netopia/Cayman is fine too.

check the easy stuff first.

how is the router powered? is it hooked into a surge protector plugged into a switched wall outlet.

try changing where you are plugging it in. seems like an intermittant power issue, not a router issue.

There have been some problems with the later versions of the firmware updates for the Linksys BEFW11S4 switches so I could probably rightly assume the same for your model. Check out the Linksys support forum on http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/linksys

I think it has something to do with that "Lease obtained" and "Lease Expires" thing.

It could be something that your service provider does at that time as well.....
