Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

Where does responsibility end and censorship begin?
I am what you would call a liberal liberterian. ;)
I don't like too much government control, I am all for free speech, but the simple fact is free speech just isn't an open license to do whatever and say whatever the fuck it is you want to. There are limits to EVERYTHING. I highly doubt they'll ever be able to completely "censor" the net but my question to you fellow adult indutry webmasters is where do you draw the line? I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more control over the interwebs, a real age verification system set up in place. The argument has always been that the net is not a place for children, but I think as we continue to move towards this information heavy society that should be able to change. The simple fact is our predecessors, the adult internet "innovators" abused their privileges so much so that we are now paying for it and rightly so. We as a group cannot be trusted to police ourselves so we left the door open for someone to come in and do it for us. So once again...whhere does responsibility end and censorship begin? |

You havevery strong points but I also think parents dont want to do the work. If I had a kid the internet connection would be in the family room not the kids room where I can watch over it. Also chatrooms are more dangerious, then naked pictures.

The only "family" computer is in the living room. The monitor can be seen from the couch, the love seat and the kitchen. The only other computers in the house are in my "office." |

why is the net not a place for kids, I never understood why people feel kids should not be allowed the same net rights as others.

The net is a place for kids. But just like I wouldn't let my children go wander all over the real world...they have guidelines and restrictions...the same is going to hold true for the virtual world.

Assholes who use keywords like boy band members names to spam their gay sites...my 14 year old niece ran into that about 5 years ago when she did a google search for one of the back street boys. Or like the guy who was recently arrested in Florida because he bought up domains like pokemoncards.com etc and had that going to porn. |
