css styles and web design question.

I've been having some fun with css lately using filters like glow and drop shadow.

Since this shit doesn't render in netscape am I wasting my time.

I always check the pages to make sure it still looks good in both browsers but man this stuff can really make a page look good if done right and I'd hate to not use it.

So what's the consensus?

My stats say less than 3% of my surfers are still using Nutscrape ... I have not bothered rendering pages to be 100% NS friendly ever since IE5.5 came out ...

Microshit won the browser war at that point

Netscape 4 series is ancient history. Gecko, known to most of you as Netscape 6, does a good job rendering most shit -- it is much more like MSIE than Netscape 4, and in fact, has dropped support for a bunch of old netscape features in favor of the msie equivelents.
