				 | crazy business hello all, go fuck yourselves!(I made a couple of posts awhile ago) anyway, now that I am making some money(I am still quite new but now that I have a little more time, I will be annoying you people more often (instead of my wife)), I am finding this business very interesting. I have been a professionaldrummer for many years and have toured all over this country. I have had many interesting experiences in the real world but I am finding these online encounters very interesting. People seem to have a verydifferent business ethic (so-to-speak) when they are not looking at your face or hearing your voice. It seems that when people deal services and products online(not face to face,) they adopt a different set of ethics. I am not complaining at all, but I do find it very interesting. Do you guys (I'm from MN --guys means men and women) find this to be the norm? Most of you have probably worked in some other industry, do you find this to be the case? opinions?

				 | because we are in a somewhat faceless, real nameless industry and people who are normally pussies in RL, can act big and bad on the net... also, its too easy for someone to be shady hiding behind a name, and then shady things get done, and it REALLY pisses people off causing them to go apeshit and losing all respect for other ppl in the biz and essentialy causing enough stress to drive a sane man mad...

				 | I forgot to mention in my first post. By looking at some of the pictures of the parties you all throw, there seems to be alot of naked chicks. I tend to like alot of naked chicks. So, if any of you guys(or gals) have a party in Los Angeles please invite the new guy.

				 | Not everyone in this business is "nameless". (No one seems to know who I am, which works just fine for me!) The company I work for isn't faceless; We attend most of the conventions and love to through parties. And yes, we always have naked girls at parties. This nothing new for some of us. We have naked chicks in our office every day! |

				 | "Nameless & Faceless" seems to be a necessity in many industries... not just this one... but obviously to a degree. It weeds out the endless line of vacuum cleaner & encyclopedia salesmen. But if you're legit, there should be no reason to remain nameless & faceless to the people you genuinely do business with, when in a business setting / situation. Coke dealers, Hiring Managers, Contractors... and many more follow that principle for certain reasons. But I wouldn't necessarily call a messageboard a business setting. As much as some tend to think it should be. An open forum will never be nuts and bolts business talk, because it's O-P-E-N. |
