"Nameless & Faceless" seems to be a necessity in many industries... not just this one... but obviously to a degree. It weeds out the endless line of vacuum cleaner & encyclopedia salesmen. But if you're legit, there should be no reason to remain nameless & faceless to the people you genuinely do business with, when in a business setting / situation. Coke dealers, Hiring Managers, Contractors... and many more follow that principle for certain reasons. But I wouldn't necessarily call a messageboard a business setting. As much as some tend to think it should be. An open forum will never be nuts and bolts business talk, because it's O-P-E-N.
