Anyone work with James at BrandXads?

Anyone work with James at BrandXads? This guy is the most persistent and annoying sales person I've ever dealt with. He won't take no for an answer, I literally had to hang up on him. Aggressive sales pressure doesn't work with me, in fact, it's a big turnoff. Makes you look desperate for a sale.

I got the same spiel, as he was local with me. Reminded me of my days selling cars.

I had a test planned, but canceled when I saw a thread when they couldn't afford to pay for some design work.

I heard BrandXads are the fly by night scam type. Good idea to avoid them.

I don't like telemarketed type calls. They get the shaft.

The moral is this: If you expect anyone to prepay for traffic, you better have glowing and verifiable references. We've been scammed too many times, better safe than sorry!

If there traffic was so good they could make money by promoting the programs not begging people to buy it. I got the same spam.

Ditto. He pestered the shit out of me one day on ICQ for a phone number and when I told him no he said I'll buy his traffic after he talks to me in FL (this was pre-internext). He was so persistant he made sure I'll never spend a dime with him.

Wow, this guy must have hit everyone up, he did the same exact thing with me, and just did not want to take no for an answer. No way are we going to pre-pay someone who I don't know and does not have any references. I told him to sign up for TCG and lets see what you can do, we do pay $35/sale, never heard from him again...

Steve Lightspeed

Steve,

First of all, I contacted you about some advertising you gave me Lisa aka "sweetums" contact information. She called me and spoke with me about some traffic we could send your way. She told me that she would call me back after she crunched some numbers. She contacted me back the next day and said that after crunching some numbers it wasnt affordable. Honestly, If you are soo big and dont need the traffic, Why even bother asking about it then? She said I that I was more than happy to give you a call and speak to you directly so I did, You answered and were like "you're fucking getting on my nerves" this was the first call I even made to you directly." As far as my traffic it's gold. You ask for refrences? I can give you my top 3 clients and they would tell you my traffic kicks ass, however its irrelevant due to the fact that everyone has different offers, content, and price, I'm sure you know the traffic / media variables by now." You think you are better than everyone else because of your content and traffic. You visit www.lightspeedsorority.com" and get like a billion popups when you leave the page you must be desperate for someone to buy. So If I gave you my client list and they all tell you my traffic rocks and you buy traffic from me and it bombs, are you going to call and tell my refrences/clients they are liers? There are many variables involved here."

As far as Dirty D?

I contacted you before InterNext and I hung up on you because you said you don't buy advertising and that must mean one thing! You dont have any money. Our company BrandXAds has only been around for 4 months not 6 and we called you like 4 weeks ago.

Everyone else here who has posted either was asking for traffic or contacted me for traffic. I am not agressive at all, I show an interest and urgency to help everyone get quality traffic they deserve.

I can see how everyone here is hesitant about buying traffic from an unknown source, I would be too, You never know until you try. You have purchased traffic from people not know what you are getting in return all the time. We're talking small amounts of traffic here guys .....

Regards,
James

Then post your references James! Yes, I gave you to Lisa because SHE is our traffic buyer. But she is way too nice to tell you to fuck off directly, so I had to do it myself.

When you wouldn't take no for an answer from her (or provide her with ANY references), you insisted on talking to me. So yes, that is annoying. Why would I hire someone to do a job if I wanted to do it for them?

Maybe you should read the responses posted here and change your tactics? It sounds like you are not making many sales with your current aggressive techniques.

Steve, I've heard only bad things about these guys. Pushy, spamming forums, aggressive to the point of having to hit them off with a stick. And a thread elsewhere about not paying a graphic designer or something. Look around and you'll see no one has anything good to say about them.

Ok I wasn't going to get in on this , but when I was sitting down talking to John guess which annoying person came along? It was James himself. I spoke to him onthe phone a couple of times and left it with him that I would call him after the show and we launched our new product. He then decided to try talking to me online while I was preparing for the Internext show in florida.

I told him that I was busy and he kept bothering me. I then said are you going to Internext? He said yes. I said I can't want to see you cause now you have annoyed me. I do not start trouble with anyone or bash anyone on the boards, but this one is well deserved. If we want your service ,we will call you. Maybe you should go into car sales. James's New Job

I icq'd me one day and acted as if we knew each other. Pretending as if we were supposed to get together in Florida...etc....

It took me a few minutes to figure it out!

I work with James and Brand X ads and they send me plenty of business...

I have purchased traffic from James, even before he was with BrandX... my sales PICKED up by 3 folds!

My bill with BrandX is about 8000.00 ... so if you need traffic
He is one of the only people I work with work ethics, and he is prescient on the phone LOL ... but he delivers the goods

James you did the same thing with me. you really need to chill when people say no or not right now. In this industry you cannot be aggressive.

Most of us who have been around long enough have been fucked paying prepaid every single time, at least I have and I even told you that. the way i see it is, if the traffic is good you should send it to programs to convert. because if you can't convert it with a 1000 programs it's probably not worth it.

He is one of the only people I work with work ethics, and he is prescient on the phone LOL ... but he delivers the goods
On both threads you are the only one to back him up. I will believe you an may even consider placing an add with him if you post proof of this. It has to be something that can be verified, not just a photoshop.

Most people here that probably do not agree on anything else other then James being too pushy for his own good. So lets see what you have to offer us? Or is this just an icq message that had a link to this thread that said," Can you please help me out here?"

To Roger V, Steve, Dirty D and All:

Point understood and well taken,

Im not trying to make any enemies here, only great long term business relationships with all of you here in the industry. I am very devoted to what I do and take a great interest in all of my clients and their campaigns. My work ethics are strong and now I know how you all feel. If I've annoyed you... I apologize. I know you all are extremely busy as well as myself.

I've been burned in the past just like the rest of you in not being paid by clients or affiliate programs. So I know how it is and why you ask and demand for the things you do.

Let's leave this thread be. You guys know how to get ahold of me if you need quality traffic.

Take Care Everybody,

James

A little advise throw a few bones out before we bite.

If you have alot of traffic send some to a program free on Rev-share or PPS. then we at least see the traffic then you work out a test run. you need to build some loyalty first.

If I see you sending traffic then i might be more apt to listen and possibly work a test run.

Ease into it you cannot have a hard sales attitude in this biz.

You will be fine just slow your roll down a bit

I like his last reply. Anyone who buys that should have his money removed from his wallet.

Good luck.

Bump for James from ClickedAdultTraffic aka PimpDaddyPants. It appears he's as aggressive with women as he is with adult webmasters.
