Movies you LOVE that everyone else HATES.......

This is a spin-off thread of https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/502862-movies-youve-hated-else-loved.html
Which was "Movies you've hated that everyone else loved......."

I'll admit it... I liked "Ishtar"

Mortal Combat 1. I still love it, but it`s old, and that is why everyone started to hate it.

Ditto, I find it quite enjoyable.

Other movies I enjoyed, and that everyone else seems to hate, include Battlefield Earth, The Beach, and The Truman Show.

This is not a movie but a tv show. I am obsessed with MTV's Laguna Beach show, I even read the message boards at TWOP and another "Laguna Beach" msg board. I am obsessed with all these rich white kids, who live in mansions and how much they spend on shoes and their "love triangle".

My high school years was NOTHING like this, I had a horrible childhood growing up and definitely did not growing up having $400 to spend on a pair of Christian Dior shoes like Alex does so I am living out my childhood fantasies vicariously through all these rich girls... Man they are spoiled, I wish I grew up rich and stylish like that!!!!

I am pretty much obsessed with most reality tv shows I love that show "Fight For Fame" and "The Girls Next Door"...

Also that show Laguna Beach gets hated on A LOT but it is a cult phenomenon! It started new fashion trends, after LC wore that white purse, it started an E-bay revolution with people all over america buying her purse. I think I am going to buy the dvd, it is sooooooo wrong and sooooo lame and I am waaaay to old to be watching a teenybopper show, but I looooove the drama.

god that show is stupid. I watched one whole episode just because I couldn't believe something that bad was on tv. Those are the most empty, shallow, soulless people I've ever seen. They have all the personality of a dishrag. And MTV actually made a 2nd season of this tripe. Un-fucking-believable that anyone actually WANTS to see that shit.

Yea, it is kinda lame I admit, but I kinda like it... I don't know why....

The love triangle is the most interesting, it revolves around LC, Kristin and this guy named Steven... It's real though btw and they are not actors, although sometimes I think Mtv makes them "re-create" scenes that have already happened.

When I first watched it I honestly did not like it either. I was like WTF is this crap? But after I watched it a lot I got totally sucked in and now I am so addicted to this shit! The girls are very pulled together and so stylish, I wish I was like that back in high school... Plus they have money to burn so that helps too...

Plus the people are not really that soulless, I think you are being too harsh. When I was that age all I was into was clothes and looks and boys as well, everyone who is young is like that. It's just that these people have money to live it up, that's all. I don't think they are that bad at all...

The most hilarious comedy ever made, i couldnt believe the amount of people without a sense of homour, judging by all the negative critisism.

sorry, it's all a bit shallow for me - the one reality show I like is Fit Club where they have a bunch of fat-ass celebs and a drill seargent ridiculing and humiliating them for the entire show. Now that's entertainment! Sorry, this is all

The 13th Warrior was a pretty cool movie. Where Antonio Banderas was an arab fighting along side Vikings. I don't think a lot of people hated it, it's just that almost no one saw it.

Also, the Edge with Anthony Hopkins. One of my favourite movies. Where they crash landed the plane and were being hunted by a bear.

For some reason a lot of people hate MOULIN ROUGE. One my favorites, simply ingenious, very creative and the music is great too IMHO.

Wicker Park - far better movie than the critics gave it credit for
Moulin Rouge - does that make me gay?
Gattaca is a very good movie

But what's with the Battlefield Earths? The book is great but the movie??!

Maybe we're all weird. I like almost all the movies mentioned in this thread. I just haven't seen Battlefield Earth or Edge yet. I'm not into the reality tv, though, and I've never seen whatever teen show phogirl is referring to.

I recognize it has a big cult following.... and that's very cool for all involved... So I gave it my best shot... I really, really, really TRIED to get into it... to find anything at all appealing about the film... but I couldn't even watch it to the end! I HAD to turn it off because I didn't just not get or like it, it was painful to watch!

I don't understand the appeal!
