I was recently approached by a potential client who was stating that he could get 30,000 EXCLUSIVE photos of 30 DIFFERENT models for $15,000 and he wanted to know if I would beat that offer.

Now, my regular price for 30,000 pics would START $120,000 for solo girl, softcore sets. Now, my attitude is that I would be happy to give him a 50% discount for an order of that size but that there is no way in hell that I would shoot that much EXCLUSIVE content for twice his offer.

My question for the content providers is:

Would you shoot exclusive content for .50 per image if the order was for 30,000 images? If so, please be sure to respond and I will be happy to direct this business your way.

Its even cheaper from Russia but the themes poses and backgrounds are a little rough. You should ask to see samples and if they are as good as yours tell him to go buy.

Remember the old print shop poster?: "You want it good, quick & cheap? Pick two and call me back!"

Thirty models, 1000 photos each, would take about 30 work days, or about 6 weeks, in other words. These would be LONG work days...and that's just the photography. Does he want any post production (is he accepting them raw and straight from the camera, or does he want them rotated, resized, color optimized, sharpened, etc., as well)? Add on about 1/3 to half again as much time for that.

I would take a pass on this job as well.

Perhaps if he gets it done outside the US, but I would wonder about any US photographer who couldn't find better things to do with his time than become the K-Mart of content providers. (And look what's happened to K-Mart!)

Just tell him if he can get the work done that cheaply, and if cheap is the only consideration, go for it.

I can't tell you how many regular customers I have who have told me they can get photography done cheaper by other photographers. I'm never crass enough to say, "Well, then go to them," but the fact that they keep on using me tells me that maybe how cheap a photo is isn't the only consideration.

I?m not a content provider either but I know there is cheep stuff from Russia. I know the hawgs brothers has a Russian photograph that shoots all there exclusive for his sites. And that they get all model releases and shits that are needed to have all legal terms in the us covered.

I agree this seems very cheap. We will not do exclusive for under $5000/girl (about 1000 pics per girl). We can do 2 girls a day, long days.

The resaon we won't sell it is that we know we can make that much from a new girl in no time. In fact that is why we don't really sell our content, it is worth more to us exclusive. But if anybody out there wants a 1 year contract for 8 girls a month exclusive let us know. We will definately entertian a $40,000/month content deal.

Been shooting porn for 20+ years and on the NET for 4 years. My first question would be why would he want 1,000 pics of a single model. No surfer wants to look at more than 100. And even with that number he is looking at very similar poses.
But the bottom line is can you shoot it for half the money, so double your money and make a profit. Probably not $500 a girl/shoot is the costs, so why bother.
It sounds like another of those "Exclusive" idiots. "Want a Porsche for the price of a Ford"
We charge around 20 times the "paysite webmaster price" for exclusive. And all our work is paid for by the magazines. We shoot for Barely Legal, Club, Tight, etc. But why give it away?
As for some getting it shot in "Russia" or some where else, have you seen the quality of that stuff?
As for not buying from a supplier who is not subject to the same laws as you. Most of the sets you see in magazines now are being produced in Europe, Hustler, Crescent, Mavety, etc. do not seem to have a problem with it. They know they have to come to us for the quality and quantity.
Unseen World has it right. It would tkae 30 days this guy is pulling your DICK. Tell him if he can but it at that price to buy us some as well. He can get 60,000 of 30 girls and I will buy it as well.
