htaccess help - GoFuckYourself.com

Anyone here really good with using htaccess to redirect requests? It's not for hotlinking, it's because I moved some stuff and don't want to have to get a hold of a ton of different people. I'd rather just have the server do an internal forwarding to all the old URL's still work and no one can tell the difference.

And yes, I looked at the Apache website and through google. All the mod_rewrite tutorials hurt my brain when I try to read them.

Just delete the old files and put in a 404 redirect in htaccess. nobody can tell.

Works for me.

Can't. It's for some cgi stuff. www.domain.com/cgi-bin/script.cgi?var=aaa needs to go to www.domain.com/script.cgi?var=aaa seemlessly. I know there's a way to do it using mod_rewrite, I just don't know how.

It's actually a dumb idea. I don't think I'm gonna do it now. Not sure what the point is anymore or why it even seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm an idiot.
