Will you pay the tax?

If they decide to tax the adult industry, will you pay it?

It's not proposed as a tax that you pay, it's collected at the time of the sale. Would be suicide for billing services to not comply.

Exactly. It will be the death of US billing companies .. or maybe they will have to move offshore and not pay ANY tax to the US at all ..

Quite ironic.... Such taxes will probably lead to less overall income for the public if ressources and moneyflow moved out of US. And it is not only billing processors.

But thats what happens when illusionistic politicians try to decide whats best, and not economists.

Good thoughts. When you make taxes or fees excessive, people or companies will go above and beyond to figure out how to avoid paying them, leading to a reduction of taxes collected. All the while there will be more Government required to enforce the new taxes at an added cost to taxpayers. It's a lose lose situation.

Yes California thought their taxes were great for business.

Nevada thanks them.

Not for the companies who move and are no longer burdened by ANY of the regressive tax laws, nor for the countries they move to.

As I've mentioned before, it's only a lose to the USGov and the "little guy" who doesn't have the luxury of packing up and getting out. The big players will only see it as an annoyance and it opens the door wide for little players from other countries.

25% on US sales = a golden age for Canadian webmasters. GO BUSH! FOUR MORE YEARS!

I don't think the tax will happen, but if it does, it just means that U.S. companies are hurt and companies from other countries reap the benefits. That is something the U.S. government should avoid.
