Yeah, I read about it. McDonalds never implied anything about their fries being vegetarian. If any religious groups worship potatoes, McDonalds is screwed.

I attended an American school where most of the kids are Puerto Rican. I was the 1% white. I don't think it is a substantial burden. I know in several countries - such as Saudi Arabia - Women ARE NOT allowed to drive.

It is no different than strict Christians that do not want to give medical care to their children. I believe everyone has freedom of religion, but only to the point where it impacts on other people (their children dying).

If she wants to walk around in Public with it on - no problem. I'd even say the satse should make reasonable accomodations. They only let men strip search men and women strip search women - so if there was a woman at the DMV, I would say fine - let the woman take her picture, but she apparently doesn't want anyone to take it.

This is not an issue of Muslims vs. America. This is an issue of the Gov't vs. Freedom of Religion. In this case the Gov't is right - as long as they have a legitimate reason (they do) and require everyone to do it (apparently they do).

Photo ID is REQUIRED for security purposes ... it protects the issuee from fraudulent use of such documents, and it protects society in whole from dangerous offenders, by having DMV photographs on file for 80% plus of the adult population ...

To put it very simply, and I DO NOT GIVE A FLYING FUCK what religeon you are, or elsewise ... whatever excuse you have ... If you cannot comply with the regulations of being issued a driver's license ... THAN DO NOT FUCKING APPLY FOR ONE ... (and DO NOT fucking even think about driving without one !!!)

Ontario has fines of a MINIMUM $5000 for being caught driving w/o insurance ... I say match that ammount for people caught driving without a license (first offence) ... lock them up for 30 days for repeat convictions ...

Just to be clear - religion has killed more people than all wars combined. Thats not in dispute. The ideals are good but they are perverted and more often used to oppress and kill.
