SEO : would this method work?

First, let me say I don't follow SEO forums or articles much and don't really play around in the field much lately, so this may be known or old.

I'm just wondering what are your thoughts on doing the following:

Let's say you have a normal index page. One of the links, goes to a page like this:

http://www.domain.com/keyword/word.html

Now, /keyword is actually a PHP script, that Apache knows to execute as PHP. the word.html is actually a parameter.

This page dynamically fills itself with a keyword-rich, SEO-optimized page, with another link at the bottom being:

http://www.domain.com/keyword/different-word.html

The process repeats, loading the page in a different mix, and having a link again...

Now I would assume the bot won't go on forever, but has a maximum number of links deep it will spider??

Even still, what woudl you think of this technique? useful? I know it doesn't count on link popularity or backlinks form other sites which are important, but it could still do ok I think for some less popular keywords.

Thoughts?

think of SEO as a test

20 parts each weighing 5%

if you mastered 1 part of the test thats only 5% overall.

The higher your score the higher your ranking.

In theory, yes, you'll get indexed. But in reality, this is just a very small step behind SEO. You need lots of backlinks, and when yoo spread yourself thin over thousands of dynamically created pages, chances are you won't be ranked well at all. Concentrate your efforts on a few pages at first and grow from there...

That's a good way to look at it. I was just curious if people have tried this method which covers one of those aspects or if they had any comments about it.

There is no money in SEO.

But it's always fun to see your sites on the #1 spot.

True, I have some spare domains so prob will try some of these ideas here and ther...I just don't have the time or desire right now to bother putting a ton of effort into them, with my full-time work and gf and other things

I also hate how it takes time to wait and see the result (for msot cases)

without a Google PriorityID any attempts at SEO are futile... the best you will do is a few hits here and there...

When you say you need lots of backlinks are you refering to google or yahoo?

Mostly google, but it doesn't hurt to have backlinks for any SE strategy.

Actually, last year I had vampirism.org with just a splash page on it getting pretty decnt traffic from Yahoo daily, with barely any optimizing at all. Until I forgot about it and the domain expired ofcourse hehe

Yet, Google never indexed the same exact page...just shows the differences between Google and Yahoo I guess

So how is it i am achiveing top 10 results for yahoo for a particular url. I have no back links to it at all and send no traffic to it. Only traffic that goes to it is the se hits that come in.

i even switched the page over to a new url and in 10 days it was ranked on top again. Now there are 71 keywords and phrase i am geting se traffic for. I have a total of 18 #1 spots and 36 top ten spots. The remaining are all on second page results. This stuff puzzles me.......

I would be dangerous if i knew what the hell i was doing

back links seem to be the underlying factor in all the sites that have the top spots for my competitive phrases. "tricks" will work for yahoo and smaller engines but Google has the most traffic.

if the search engines find out they will ban you. this is considered black hat seo and it's being done already with seo experts that use throw away domains. they use this technique on domains until they get banned then just do it on another domain.

I agree with wired. Something that does work is to install the Alexa Toolbar (yes spyware) and visit your site at least 2-3 times a day. You will se your Alexa ranking drop (get better) this identified by the spiders. Cannot do it your way, if you get caught by by and back to the sandbox for 6 months.

Update your site regularly, even use blogger for it. It works. And in no time you will have it indexed and ranking.

**Be careful spelling. Words like "PENS" and "ANGINA" can easily be mispelled to be words of the male and female anatomy respectively. This will cause Google to mistake your site for an ADUL? Site - and get it banned. Noticed how I used a special character to look like the letter "T" in the word before site. Use clever tricks like this throughout your documents**

I dont think i shall ever stop laughing after reading this lol
