The Boy Scouts Are Gettin' Owned!

WTF?

The big Boy Scouts of America Jamboree has been plagued with one disaster after another!

First, 3 or 4 scoutmasters got electrocuted when their tent pole hit a power line.

Then over 300 boy scouts had to be treated for extreme heat due to the weather.

President Bush declined his scheduled meeting with the Boy Scouts due to severe weather dangers.

What's gonna happen next? Either a tile from the Space Shuttle will fall off and crash on the Boy Scouts or Bin Laden will launch a missile at some enemy and it'll go off course and do a Wyle E. Coyote on them?

Sheesh!

I was never a Boy Scout, seemed like a waste of time and money. It isn't one of those things that you carry with you for the rest of your life. On a resume, volunteering can look noble. A merit badge in underwater basket weaving, well, probably not worth the paper it's written on.

Heat exhaustion? SHEESH. They call them self Scouts?

The Girl Scouts at least sell good cookies and you don't hear them complaining about the heat.

I was a boy scout. I like to carry through with my long term goals. At that age there aren't a whole lot of better things you can do. Thats ironic that Bush pussied out twice. Clinton intentionally missed his first one but went to the second one after he got a lot of flack.

Lemme tell you, a fine Boy Scout education is ten times it's worth of weight in gold.

That training lasts a lifetime.

We had internal problems when I was a kid so Boy Scouts was out.

Besides, I got kicked out of the Cub Scouts the FIRST day because I snuck out and hung out at the Girl Scouts meeting. I couldn't figure out why I would want to be in a room with a bunch of guys when a small army of hotties was in the other room.

They still tease me about that.

Hehehehe..I was a girl scout.. and I'm proud to have become one..

I feel sorry for those scouts.. here in our country scouts are treated with respect.. but they also have a great burden of expectation..they of course need to be role models.. but I will always cherish all my Scouting experiences and the things I learned in scouting..

WTF??? If things ain't bad enough for the Boy Scouts with electrocutions, heat exhaustion and the President wimping out, a story came in that 7 other Boy Scouts got injured after lightning hit them!

It's like some evil sinister menace is after them!

Sheesh! The Boy Scouts need our support more than ever. Kids shouldn't have to go through this but The Boy Scouts should have that backup.

I agree Spunky, there are some institutions that kids should be able to rely on. When a scout leader acts like that they should take him out and beat him in front of the other scouts or let the scouts bet them to death.
